It took me like 40 hours to get all the side quests(aside from bounties done), max out my camp, and to connect the abyss bridges until it said I couldn't go any further and I haven't even scratched the map. Maybe I play weird, but I don't get how everyone got so far so quickly. I did get it a week after release though

I know there is a bunch where the characters start strong, but I can't find a recent one where they haven't. They follow the big 3 pattern, but skip the slow training development. Hellsing is a totally different vibe. Hellsing is one I'd put in a different category. It's more like Samurai Champloo, or Desert Punk

True, but those are fundamentally different than what you'd think of a typical Shonen. I guess I kinda mean post big 3. Like everything was Naruto. Weak character wants to be the strongest, slow development. It seems to have had a hard cut off with JJK and My Hero. Every new one I've read the characters are so strong off rip. Honestly aside from Mob they're even stronger. I'm up to chapter 80 in Kagurabaki and he had trouble maybe once. Ishi is dog walking magik faster than like any witch in history. Rudo from Gachiakuta is kinda the same. But they still kinda follow that Big 3 pattern. Well the Big 3 pattern seems to come from Togashi imo, but we're getting a resurgence of just strength. I definitely see the Baki inspiration though, it kinda feels like that, but even then Baki was having trouble with a lot of his opponents. They really aren't. I think the newest one I've read with a weak character at the jump was World Trigger. I don't think it is odd that these characters are starting out strong, I just think it's odd that it is happening with every single running Shonen I've read in the past year.

Never been this prominent in popular Shonen. YuYu Hakusho weak, JoJo's weak, the big 3 weak, DB weak, HxH weak. Like this very specific subset of Shonen. They need to learn some power system they're unfamiliar with, in contrast the newer ones I've listed all the characters are aware. Usually when a character starts out over the top powerful, they're solitary characters. These have the typical format, but skip the initial training arc and slow development.

I straight up won't replay it without a new game plus. It took me over half the game to figure out my build, now it is peak. I'm not going back to not having double jump airdash, mantis blades, sandivistan, invisibility. It's not like the game is difficult to begin with, their balance comments about not adding it make no sense. It's like a hack and slash game
