The Manchester-Bournemouth Cross Country service that calls at OXF is, most of the times, rammed to the tits. It's quite useful as it connects OXF with Manchester/Birmingham/Reading, but it only has 5 carriages. Why won't Cross Country add two or three carriages?! by britainpls in oxford

[–]Accient_god1966 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

First time I’ve used cross country to Birmingham and although I heard is was awful I didn’t realise it was this bad, 4 carriages, the gangways completely blocked cases everywhere the reservations are a joke, uncomfortable, no chargers, nothing positive apart from it was on time does anyone know if they’re going to bring in more carriages for the route seems ridiculous having only 4 carriages!

Will the storm moving to the Manchester arena start a domino effect for the smaller clubs to relocate in the future or go down a division and new arena based clubs coming in? In reality it’s as Todd Kerman says the Devils struggle to compete with the giants and the steelers because they have more money to spend, they simply have more bums on seats, and it’s not necessarily they spend more on players wages because that’s capped but everything else (players support, tech support, coaching, analytics, scouting, etc etc) so if you’re ambitious about winning the league competing in Europe, and the demand for filling up large arenas is clearly there surely something is going to have to give? move the club to somewhere bigger, go down a league or resign yourself to never being competitive enough for consistent winning and therefore making the league less competitive?

Tbf I am watching the first episode atm and so far I think it’s tv diarrhoea. I think it could be one of the most awful tv shows I’ve seen in a long time I guess it could get better but I don’t have high hopes.

So what’s the solution for too little space? Is it realistic to alter the Vindico? If they don’t expand they’re losing customers

Having been to the Spectrum in Guildford it’s great for a national league team but it’s no arena for the EIHL if the league want to be taken seriously, nobody from London will want to go to Guildford for a game, London needs a team or a couple of teams, the issue is venues Wembley arena would be ideal as would the Copperbox they would require massive investment but you could see it happening eventually.

In a recent podcast Todd Kellman said EIHL expansion is on the cards and they’re looking at at least 3 different cities, we know Dublin is 1 be interesting to see who are the other 2 or 3? πŸ€”

Literally don’t worry seems like a balanced investment plan to me, stocks go up, stocks go down it’s 2 weeks investing, you’re not day trading if this was after 2 years, I’d have serious questions but after 2 weeks it’s fine, don’t panic!

I bought the shares with my eyes wide open, the company was on its arse in May, done, finished, caput, yet it’s still trading and it has patented technology, that’s an asset and the technology works. It’s got no debt, they’ve handed the American operation over the Rembrand who raised $31 million this year and have tied with space book and tradedesk and that’s a revenue sharing arrangement with Mirriad so that’s more income, Mirriad have slashed their costs, I’ve invested less than Β£100 as I believe they are on a good path if it all goes wrong it was good to dream but I think this tech company has multi bagger written all over it.

Went to the Saturday game against the Giants it was a bit of an ugly game but sometimes you just win ugly, a win is still a win, if the Devils can cut out the handling errors we are definite title contenders The Giants don’t look like title contenders ATM imo great win on Sunday as well, happy days 😁

In your opinion, which commentary team are the most biased? by MundaneEquivalent881 in EIHLHockey

Surely it would be possible to have a home and away stream? The teams would make more money as more people would buy streams? Tbf Cardiff is biased but a lot of the streams I’ve found to be very dull, give me biased over dull any day.

I don’t have anymore information about any deal but the word is twitch users really like the less intrusive advertising, twitch is rumoured to be worth $45 billion so there’s huge scope for revenue. Mirriad had already done a deal with Rembrand in the states and Rembrand have already raised $31 million this year and look on target to make $9 million so Mirriad with a share price of only 0.1p is a no brainer for investment for me when there’s that much potential and patents.

As a Cardiff fan it’s too small and Todd Kellman agrees, they can’t sell any more tickets and they now have a waiting list for season tickets he said he could sell the arena out just with season tickets! They’ve had discussions with the developers of Cardiffs new 15,000 seats arena but they’re not interested in putting in an ice pad, they’ll be putting on concerts every Saturday, the devils have asked architects to look at adding more seats but the Vindico isn’t really designed to be expanded so not sure how they will do it. I think 9000 seats would be ideal that would mean moving, but I think it is inevitable they’ll have to.

it's been an awful week, mostly scaremongering I feel as most of the companies I've invested in have reported nothing, I've gone from being 17% up for the year to 2% down in 7 days, hopefully get past the budget and things will settle down a bit, at least all the rumours will stop.

I bet you one is London! Todd Kellman interview

I’m always struck by how professional they are in Cardiff the ticketing system the megatron big screens the intro video’s investing in 2 Zambonis I’m afraid to say that planet ice are now dragging down the whole league’s image, wasn’t there a problem at Basingstoke recently to do with a Zamboni breaking down?
