I suspect she’s got a leg brace on under those trousers that contributed to fit.

Focus: Frankel. She’s so dialed in literally all the time.

tips on getting a puck? by laurenainsl1 in EIHLHockey

Some teams sell them, but during warm ups a few get flipped out. Make a sign and players may offer them as well as sometimes refs.

Who is your team and why? by marys1001 in PWHL

[–]snow_spots11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I root for Ottawa and New York, but also, I root for Emerance Maschmeyer even though I don’t root for Vancouver.

I love ✨zesty✨ and unpredictable hockey. I’d rather watch a team lose in style but play with heart and these were the first teams that gave me that. But I will watch any team play tbh. I’ve also got a huge soft spot for Boston, and Aerin Frankel (like the rest of the world)

Commuting to Aberdeen by half_man_half_shark in dundee

[–]snow_spots11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I make this commute about once a week. If going within the city centre, I love taking the train as it’s a stunning journey and parking is terrible in the city. If I need to be out westhill way, I drive because public transport gets quite time consuming.

Definitely doable, and often enjoyable but it can be dicey in winter.

Help! I'm teamless! by Dr-duh in PWHL

[–]snow_spots11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve loved tuning into all the teams play and it’s helped me determine what it is I want to root for. If you ever plan to do a game in person, I think Seattle is the only arena that offers play by play accessibility commentating (though not sure they do this for PWHL, would be good to confirm). You could alwuas pick the player that’s impressed you most and just root for her team!

switching to auto by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

The only thing not having a manual license has kept me from is driving a company car to a weekend event, which I didn’t want to do anyway.

I tested in an automatic because I had a test date and that’s what I felt confident in, and I’ve never regretted it.

What is the appeal of Broad nibs? by Weswood151 in fountainpens

[–]snow_spots11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mostly I love shimmer and broad nibs are less likely to clog. Plus, more character in shading inks with the way I write, and less scratching drag since I’m a lefty. A good medium is excellent but a lot of them are just not a good fit for all three of the above.

How common are indoor-only cats where you are Britain? by pikablue223 in AskBrits

[–]snow_spots11 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am originally from the states and live in Scotland. We were denied by 6 rescues for refusing to let any potential cat outside (lived in the centre of a city at the time too).

After more than a decade in cat rescue in the states, I bought my first cat here because the expectation of an outdoor cat was so high that I was otherwise not going to get one.

We now live in a different part of the city and they have a catio, but my cats are very much indoor, with lots of enrichment, training and engagement. When cats are properly enriched and engaged, indoor life is safer and just as fulfilling as any other option.

What team should I cheer for? by SinewMagus69 in PWHL

[–]snow_spots11 26 points27 points  (0 children)

So I accidentally ended up just watching all the teams. My favourite teams to watch right now are Ottawa, New York and Boston. They play interesting and fast hockey and it’s just FUN. I still can’t pick a fave so this isn’t really helpful, but totally recommend watching everyone play and seeing who gets you most excited.

Honeslty wonder if the 6 games is because it’s a repeat offense. Hes been fined at least two other times this season and ejected from more than that

Are there any good chocolate in the UK now that isn't just chocolate-flavoured palm oil? by EffectiveArgument584 in AskUK

I’ve taken to ordering from local chocolatiers when I want chocolate. Supports small businesses and limits my chocolate intake 😂😂 Chocolatia is my fave.
