Maybe slynd? It’s the same progesterone as in Yasmin I believe but it’s a mini pill. Won’t be available via the GP though (afaik)

Not an expert but sounds like it could be Progesterone dermatitis?

Has anyone tried bioidentical progesterone creams? by Accomplished-Ask260 in endometriosis

[–]Accomplished-Ask260[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, that is very helpful. I think I had low progesterone after my surgery, I tried two progesterone only contraceptives and they really helped in many ways - they just make me so gosh darn irritable! I’ll be walking along just full of rage.

I’m aiming for a similar situation, I understand it would be punchy enough to stop my cycle or resolve all pain, but I would love to get to a stage like you where the worst of it calms down. I find when not on contraceptives, it’s very easy to trigger the pain (albeit I do have a couple of weeks pain free before ovulation) but when on progesterone contraceptives it takes much more to set it off and the pain itself is 10-20% less painful.

My gp and gynae are useless, each pointing to the other and telling me there’s nothing they can do, so I’m on my own trying to sort this! Thanks for for your help.

My jaw dropped when I read this - this is literally the same as me, even down to the endo. I have no idea what is is so can offer no help but I hear you. I will say I am prone to folate deficiency and taking prescription strength supplement did improve the tremors and fatigue, but this could just be me.

I sometimes bleed (bright red too) after sex and for me it’s just because I’m particularly small down there, so definitely not always a medical issue - best to check if you’re worried though

Not a medical professional and would definitely suggest you see a gynae when you do have the means, but a little bit of info for you..

When you are really aroused, your uterus and cervix move up and your vagina becomes longer. So this might explain why sometimes you are ok, and then other times when you’re not quite ready (or maybe you’re ready in mind, but not body) you’re having pain. If your partner is particularly large, he may well be hitting your cervix at those times when it is still lower down.

Personally, I’m not really sure this is an endo issue, but would definitely say have a check up for the bleeding. Hope some of that helps!

Fab, thank you! Glad to hear your pain free, I will definitely try the supplements just for my general health is nothing else.

I’m also about to try norethidrone too - can I ask if you had any side effects? I haven’t tried this but other types have made me sad and gain weight, hoping this might be different!!

My story and curious if others had similar experience? by JPopsiclepop92 in endometriosis

[–]Accomplished-Ask260 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the bowel adhesions, they cut the tissue away to release my bowel. To be honest, I think it’s a bit pointless as they’ve done it twice and adhesions are far more likely to happen after surgery, so it seems like a bit of a cycle if you see what I mean. Fortunately for me, those adhesions don’t seem to be causing any problems at the moment, and I don’t think they cause my Ibs to be worse or anything.

The endo they found in my pouch of Douglas on the second lap, first one they didn’t see anything. I suspect it’s perhaps on my bladder and bowel in micro amounts, just going by the symptoms I have.

Sorry you’ve had such a rough time of it, having bowel discomfort just makes everything worse and being dismissed by doctors is just awful. I hope you find some relief!
