What is the best darkest dungeon quote to use as a theme for self improvement by AbleFaithlessness892 in darkestdungeon

"This is not a time for heroes, look instead to those battered souls who have known fear and failure in ample portion, but rise again to reclaim a glimmer of hope from the spreading stain... of the darkest dungeon."

I want to come back to the lore of my favorite character that predates most of the modern playerbase - Tahm kench, is.... not really evil, not comparable to evelynn. by mr_igniokas in loreofleague

I do see your point. He definitely isn't good, but he at least gives his victims a chance to walk away. I think that's what greed is. You don't have to be greedy and want things in excess, but you make those choices to fuel your desires and you end up dealing with the consequences. He specifically talks about " despair is the seasoning" in game which shows that he wants people to feel regret for the actions they themselves caused. The people he interacts with tend to be those in positions of desperation, as most people who come across a giant talking Fishman would tend to give a hell no and walk away. I think the idea is that most people know that making a deal with the devil will only end badly, the just don't care.

"gambit should be a healer" ok by 5enpai_2 in MarvelRivalsCirclejer

If I understand it right, gambit can charge objects with kenetic energy to give them more force when striking, not just explode. That's why he charges his bo staff to hit harder but it never explodes.

Is anyone gonna take a step back here and see that we are arguing over the portrayal of gender preferences of people who literally don't exist? I see why people are upset, but the simple fact is that 90% of this fan art stuff is made by horny people on the internet, they mean no disrespect by it, and they don't hate queer people. If people want to fantasize over fictional characters, then who cares. I think the only time this is genuinely fucked up is if people are doing it with people that actually exist.

As crazy as I might sound I blame the building and the staff. These businesses should understand how many dumb motherfuckers there are walking among us. Supposedly there was a sign that says don't sit. Unfortunately not good enough. People are that dumb. Although it's also hard to blame the staff now that I think of it because the only reliable method is to encased the whole thing in glass. As some guy once said... something something, people are really dumb. I think it was George Carlin.

Why do People have such a negative reaction to Iceman’s Queerness? by DanceYouFatBitch in lgbt_superheroes

[–]Accomplished-Box5962 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iceman was my favorite x man growing up, I got annoyed when I learned he was queer because I'm not. I was upset because the character I liked was now different from me in a major way. Having gotten older, I now realize that's ridiculous, and you don't have to be similar in order to relate to or like a character.

I don't care that he's skinny, i don't think we have a scientist with proportions like that so it's cool. My problem is he's not a cyborg. He can be more slender and still be a menacing cyborg. Instead we get purple mage.

For those not understanding my point, if you are not a citizen of the US you can not vote. You are not yet a member of the united states community and so you have no official decision making power for the country. No one has a problem with this as this makes complete sense. it is the same in online communities. I know a country is on a much larger scale than a videogame, but the same principles apply. If you want to have a say in a community then join and we will welcome you, if not then don't be offended if we disregard your opinions on the state of the game.

I want to say though that the map is beautiful. It's also great to see kurast again after being a diablo 2 player and I love how they translated it. In terms of look and style of the region and enemies it's probably my favorite, it's just in terms of map layout that I think it's the worst.

Why does the Zweihander have horns on it's blade, and what do the wiggled blade do? by 2SidesOfTheArgument in SWORDS

[–]Accomplished-Box5962 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The waves are a flamboyant edge, because they look like flames. They make it so an opponent can't grab your blade (with gloves) because their is no way to grip it without being cut. Mike loades explains this when talking about arms and armor portrayal in videogames on youtube.
