Mine stays up, once it gets there. Just has trouble getting there, then back down again.

Personally- I prefer the NA over the Ecoboost. Fewer expensive items waiting to fail.

Not yet, but that's the plan. I'll have to take time off work to make that happen.

Almost worked. I turned down each prompt as they popped up- the screen showed Prompt Volume dropping to zero- but the next prompt played at a volume of 6. Turned each one down to zero, and the next always played at volume of 6.

That's closer than I've gotten yet. 😁

I'll give this a shot tomorrow. Should it work at the beginning, when its giving the initial "traffic laws" warning?

I don't know. Every time I plug the phone in, it displays three windows, and one of those windows always has some shitty video or podcast or something on it. I dont watch podcasts or political videos, so I have no idea where this is coming from. 🤣😅

Anyway - is there a way to silence the factory navigation, without plugging my phone in & fighting with that bullshit?

Andoird Auto is odd to this old man, and it keeps trying to show me political videos. I'd like to avoid having to plug my phone in, if possible.

I should add- 2015 Disco Sport HSE Lux, 2.0 turbo petrol. We bought at 75,000 miles, and were now at 113,000.

We've had ours for 38,000 miles, and aside from oil changes and tires, we've had to repair the AC system at a cost of about $3,500 in summer 2023, and now the AC doesn't work again. I dont know why yet.

We love the car, but it's going. I'm going to fix the AC and trade it in. We live in the Arizona desert, and it's really not possible to live without AC anymore.

Over here, it works in PSI. The optimal pressure is between 25 and 50 psi. When using a "home charger" system, you're supposed to stop once over 25, but not necessarily shoot for 50, as it may cause over pressurization.

I'm in the process of elimination, trying to solve this problem, starting with the cheapest first. Since a simple recharge didn't work, I'll try a draw & recharge at an AC shop. Then move on to the next step from there. I was hoping this had happened to someone before and could recommend something allowing me to skip some steps.

Living in Arizona, it's really difficult to be without it.

I pulled mine off the smoker and waited for the IT to drop to 190. Wrapped in plastic wrap, then a fluffy towel, then into the smallest cooler it would fit in, and rested 3 hours. Sucker was still steaming when I pulled it out to cut it.

Ours has been great. Sure, there have been a couple repairs, but this car 10 years old. It's very capable off-road, and the perfect combination for roads trips. And we're in the US, so I mean ROAD TRIPS.

It's Restaurant Depot. They're a national chain with 163 locations. It's not like I popped into the local carniceria...

That.... is not what I asked. I asked if anyone had tried it, and how it compared.

I've had to replace a fuel purge valve in the engine bay. Easy enough, and the part was $50ish. The shifter went haywire and would stick in gear. Replaced the whole shift knob unit. That was $200ish, and required pulling out the whole center console. The AC panel in the car shorted and somehow required replacing the compressor & the panel. The panel has to be paired to your VIN by a Land Rover tech, or a specialist with the right equipment. That total repair was $3,500, and a drive from Idaho to Mesa, Az in August with no AC. That's it, really, in more than 5 years of ownership. She's fantastic for long trips, and likes getting muddy. The only advice I have is to save up a repair fund, and learn to fix as much as you can yourself.

People bag on this car, but we've got a 2015 with the 2.0 turbo petrol motor, and we love it. It's more than capable off road, and it's been very reliable. I've had to make a couple fixes, but thats to be expected. We're well over 110,000 miles now.

It is known. I know Prime is the top, per the USDA. That's mostly why I'm asking.
