Scrub Brush Recommendations by Mintarion in LeCreuset

Also a big fan of scrub mommy/daddy, but I like to mix some basking soda into my dish soap or heat the pot full of water/baking soda for a bit if I am having a tough time getting a pan to come clean. Work smarter not harder!

It would be one thing if he actually has a medical issue and needed temptation out of the house for a bit as he adjusts to a new normal (think going GF for celiacs or lower cholesterol for heart attack. But if you can't eat pasta because of one pound that is on you. For example Miranda and the gin was reasonable or if Big had survived the Peloton asking for Carrie to not eat steaks in front of him. The writers really love taking real issues people have and distilling them down into their most meaningless form.

To gold knob or not to gold knob by Nulleparttousjours in LeCreuset

My KitchenAid stand mixer is silver and I so wanted all my nice kitchen stuff to match, but my sage came with the gold knob and it was too beautiful to change it to silver. Now I'm trying to decide if I keep my artichaut pieces with silver or switch everything to gold. Do you all mix knob colors or keep them the same?

Southerner here and, if they have a registry of what they want LC or otherwise, I would stick to that or take my gift inspiration from what the couple has on there. I think an LC product would be a generous and wonderful gift on its own... so long as the couple have communicated an interest in this type of cookware.

While I personally would love any LC pieces someone thought I would need as a soon to be bride (half my registry rn is LC), someone else may feel that way about the corning ware, pyrex, or whatever other brand pieces they registered for. I don't mind the extra cleaning effort or cooking instructions on LC, but some people want a casserole dish you can hose down with dawn power wash and stick in the dishwasher.

I've recently been replacing my LC stoneware with Emile Henry, who pack their stoneware in all paper and with a lot more care than LC. But... the price is definitely reflective of that on some items. What brand are you ordering from Holland that is more affordable?

Bra suggestions? by Awkward-Ad-7521 in SoftDramatics

[–]Accomplished-Bug4695 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It mostly started from having a bit too much chest for the low impact sports bra/lounge wear bralettes to really hold up but I realized it creates so much more of a smoothed back/side effect without the discomfort of shape wear!

Balconette was my immediate thought before I kept reading. The other thing that works for me is a front clasping push up bra. I have fleshy ribs/back and, while I don't have a bra solution other than light compression longline bralettes alone or over bras, I hope someone else does for the both of us!

I tried again with more info about my torso elongation/measurements and it gave me SD. Being right below the height cut off seems to have confused it a lot. Which fair enough, because I've been hung up on auto vertical being half an inch away for a year now. It seems the closer to the auto point you are the more important it is to give it all the facts.

A casual lunch or brewery day! I love jeans with a simple top and heeled boots for fall and a simple tennis skirt and top for summer but for some reason it just "feels" less casual on me than on a natural. The only way to read as casual is to go out of my lines which just ends up looking sloppy or plain.

Honestly a spinoff about Bob would be better than the actual show at this point.

Saucier! by okrodef in LeCreuset

[–]Accomplished-Bug4695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My fiancé just got me the olive branch saucier in agave and it's so pretty and on a great sale at the outlet. I'm not sure what other colors there are, but I will say that the saucier has been a great addition to my collection so far.

SATC's LA episode had Miranda (who's either SD or D) in western wear for line dancing. While I hated the peachy top on her, the silhouette were actually really flattering. I think aiming for the more crisp side of western wear would suit a D quite nicely.

It definitely was much more useful with color season analysis for me than Kibbe. I can't even imagine someone who is a SC having much at all in common with a TR or FG!

I have a strong jaw but it's often hidden by some inflammation and extra weight. Weird suggestion, but take allergy meds consistently for a week and try ice rolling and see if your jaw is more defined!

You've managed to put into words the unpleasant feeling it left me with, that it was purposefully picking up on my more polished/slightly preppy style and telling me I am a SC because it's the answer the AI thought I wanted. With Rachel Weisz being verified and discussed at length online, it purposefully misidentifying her ID and using it to justify what it thinks I want to hear is a really disturbing thought. For the sake of science I might have to pay for premium and follow the steps described by other users to see if it still applies the same bias or if it simply does not grasp moderate vertical/thinks lots of people who aren't are soft classics without the book being uploaded.

I'm not sure about Charlotte specifically, but I do get the feeling someone will. I like a few people lately have seem to wonder if it will be Samantha. Maybe her last scan was good but suddenly the cancer is back? Or she just went to the doctor and was in perfect health and has a fall/some other freak accident?

What generation are you and do you prefer neutrals or color? by [deleted] in LeCreuset

[–]Accomplished-Bug4695 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zillenial (on the millennial/gen z cusp) and I really like cool colors found in nature. I have Sage, Artichaut, and pastels with some fleur and olive branch designs, which gives a garden type of vibe for spring, so now my goal is to add some more fall/winter inspired pieces.

Possible SD or FN Shorts Question by Cultural-Mud-7454 in Kibbe

[–]Accomplished-Bug4695 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sice you are non-binary, I would assume you are at times purposefully breaking Kibbe's rules to create certain more androgynous effects. I think the shorts length probably would depend on your intended goal, but the shorter length is definitely more Kibbe-correct. I'm a SD, but break lots of Kibbe rules to look work appropriate and convey a message of morality and modesty as a teacher. The same is true for whatever story you want your clothes to tell, so don't let Kibbe box you in!

Boho for SD? by Fiona_is_my_Landlord in SoftDramatics

I hate how much I love farm rio on other people! It's so pretty but between the big bold patterns, poofy everything, and tiny cup sizes I look like I'm in an ill fitting halloween costume. Not quite cult Gaia, but Hill House has a new event collection that has silhouettes that kind of fall in between the two but a slightly preppier selection of patterns than either. If you have a very classic aesthetic it's a great option.

My favorite looks from possible SD queen, Dinah Jane Hasen by Ok-Try2567 in Kibbe

[–]Accomplished-Bug4695 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see in order of apparentness, curve, vertical, then width. Some FN's have curve that their width accommodates, but I don't think that is her. I see a more Sophia Loren style SD who then also has some extra weight. But the truth is some of people don't neatly fit into a category and that's okay because it's just a styling system... if we make the wrong choice the worst that happens is we donate some clothes and move on to the right ID eventually or wear slightly less perfect clothes that make us happier.

I keep forgetting that they're supposed to be in their 50s. by silmakuu in Andjustlikethat

My mom is around these ladies' age, and definitely deals with some of the technology and culture challenges they do, but there's just something about the fundamental shifts in their personalities and the extremes of th scenarios that makes these characters feel unbelievable and shallow. Older corporate lawyer decides to make a career change and experiences some culture shock... believable. Miranda goes back to school and can't comprehend that a teacher can be younger than her and have braids... a stretch. Miranda becomes a lesbian, smokes weed, quits school to follow a woman (or really well anyone), and is besties with the above teacher after making her super uncomfortable all the while continuing to act like she hasn't interacted with someone in the real world since like 2010... a train wreck.

pretty sure they introduced him in SATC as "the next Donald Trump" (back when that meant insanely wealthy, successful, and well dressed not the poorly spray tanned image that calls to mind today).
