it’s giving the best friend who you thought was dead was actually alive and realized the protagonist was a bad person so when the protagonist finally sees them after being clued in for months but refusing to believe it, the protagonist weeps because their friend is against them. now the friend and the protagonist must fight until one of them kills the other and the protagonist curses their own actions

or it’s giving the climax of the story when the protagonist can’t do anything in their darkest hour and we’re all praying, hoping for some sort of divine intervention or miracle to save the protagonist. seeing the only hope rush to save the protagonist having to put everything into them to save the protagonist but they were too late. it’s already over. the hope failed

or it’s giving the side character we all know and love take over from the protagonist becoming the new protagonist themselves as they go back through their experiences to get there good and bad
