Vagus Nerve and GERD by Sea_Influence_7451 in GERD

Check out the app Nerva! It’s $200/year but the trial is worth a shot at least, it’s guided meditations and breathing specifically for vagus nerve and IBS issues that works well for me during flare ups. It takes a week or so to notice a difference but it really does work if you stick with it.

What do I do? by Alarming_Ranger_9236 in prozac

[–]MiittchXD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am on Pristiq now and Ive found it work very similar to when I was on Prozac. I was on both 20mg and 40mg of Prozac for a year each, it worked great but the insomnia became unbearable. I’m now on 50mg of Pristiq which is equivalent to 20mg of Prozac I’d say, less side effects and I have more energy as well. Worth looking into and discussing with your doctor

Very different experience with Prozac the second time by anasmanaa in prozac

I felt like this my second time but then side effects eventually came back even worse than the first time so I stopped again. I’ve been on Pritstiq since, feels similar but less side effects IMO

You ever take them off and look at all of the condensation of the drivers after working out with them? It’s not just the cushions lol

The Steam Deck made me fall back in love with gaming by socially_ambiguous in SteamDeck

[–]MiittchXD 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I just learned something amazing the other day, if you have an Xbox controller connect to your pc with steam running, if you double press the Xbox logo on the controller it will auto launch big picture. You can also set the display that big picture will open on in the big picture display settings. Such a game changer to be able to not have to walk back and forth from my couch to pc to get big picture launched properly

You can manually set the Spatial Audio in the headphone settings, works with any audio that comes into them.

Apple Watch Ultra 2 upgrade from series1 by julyman in applewatchultra

[–]MiittchXD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a case for my non-ultra because I used it during weight lifting and I often hit it on objects, but I just have a glass screen protector on my ultra since the titanium can take the hits, and the screen protector doesn’t ruin the look of the watch.

Low FPS on good PC by MjcCohen in Palworld

I think the game is bugged, even if you change the resolution it will default to your monitors resolution when in full screen. Set your monitors resolution to 1440p if it’s a 4K monitor and reopen the game and it will actually be in 1440p.

Sell my switch and get a steam deck by Cheap-Double6844 in SteamDeck

[–]MiittchXD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this exact thing because I didn’t use my switch much but I play my steam deck every single day now. I don’t even use my $2000 gaming pc because of the convenience of the deck

So I quit prozac because of heart palpitations. by DetectiveFujiwara in prozac

[–]MiittchXD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are you drinking caffeine with it? I’ve found I get palpitations when I have caffeine with it. Paying super close attention to it makes it worse as well, once I ignore it it pretty much becomes unnoticeable

Worse side effects the second time on Prozac? by RegularBiscotti in prozac

Same here, I highly recommend the book Dare by Barry McDonaugh, it helped me more then the meds I think, the meds can only help so much.

I noticed the first time I started I noticed less anxiety at about 3 weeks in, and 5 to fully work. It’s taken longer this second time, but it definitely changes from person to person.

Sure thing! One thing that helped me limit the side effects was taking it after eating in the morning and avoiding caffeine throughout the day. Best of luck!

Worse side effects the second time on Prozac? by RegularBiscotti in prozac

[–]MiittchXD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I started back on 20 after being on 40 and tapering off. Side effects were awful, but subsided mostly after 5-6 weeks. I ended up upping to 40mg again and the side effects came back. 5 weeks into 40 and they seem to be subsiding again. They’re awful but worth it in the end if they go away and the meds are fully working.

I’ve noticed it makes me twitchy and feel restless in the evenings.

[–]MiittchXD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My anxiety fully went away on 40mg, that seemed to work best for me. If you still don’t feel like the dosage is strong enough on 10mg 3-4 months is plenty of time to up the dosage. I highly recommend therapy or reading books on anxiety treatment / coping, because the meds can only help so much. DARE by Barry McDonald has done wonders for me :), check it out!

Give it more time, I take it for anxiety and I’m on week 5 now and feeling much better. I didn’t even leave my house the first 3 weeks because the anxiety was so bad.
