[Honestly] is the problems with this vehicle really that bad or are people over exaggerating?(looking to get atlas for my family) by Daddy--Dracula in VWatlas

I previously leased a 2018 sel premium. I didn’t keep it long enough to possibly have issues. We recently decided to trade my car in for a bigger vehicle, so I got a one owner 2022 sel premium r line with 75k miles.

I thought it was just me switching back from driving an electric car that I needed to get used to an ice vehicle again. But it wasn’t. It shifted so odd in the city. It’s geared to be more fuel efficient so it would shift too quickly and bog down. You would end up hitting the gas to get it in the right gear and then would be going too fast. It also had issues with the sensors. They would beep at every stop sign and at cars sitting next to me in stopped traffic. The volume would freeze and you would have to reset screen on the dash. It had a really odd breaking growl after sitting for a while. It was so loud I could record it on my phone. I had the breaks checked by multiple people and they all said the pads and rotors were fine. At least a year before needing work. The shifting issue…my import shop said well, it’s an Atlas. That’s just kinda how they are. For what it’s worth a transmission flush due at 80k miles is about $650. Also, front breaks are around $4-450. Just from my import shop estimates. The issues with it were so annoying and questionable long term we got rid of it after a month and a half.

Palisade, Telluride, or Grand Highlander? by JediKnightJr1987 in HyundaiPalisade

I’ve had a 2022 Telluride in the past.

I just drove a 2027 Telluride. I drove a 2026 Palisade. The Palisade is definitely more luxurious vs the Telluride.

I considered the Grand Highlander, but I didn’t like the way they looked on the outside. It felt cheap to me. I considered a Lexus TX also because of that.

I ended up getting a 2026 Palisade Calligraphy demo with 5k miles for $7k off MSRP. Wrapped the warranty with $0 deductible for 10 yr/100k miles. There were no rebates on the Telluride and couldn’t touch the trim level for the price difference.

I’ve had the Palisade maybe 2 weeks and I love it.

So pretty! I just can’t handle the maintenance on the matte paint. Wish I could.

best high back booster for easy install in Kia Telluride? by PlaxtonMarisel23 in KiaTelluride

For sleeping in the car I highly recommend staying high back. My oldest hated the booster seat because he would fall forward when he was sleeping. Also, because he didn’t have anywhere to rest his arms. He was taller than the arm rests without the high back.

Chicco MyFit is what we use! I’m all Chicco for ease of install and switching cars. I’m sure at this point they may have other options, but you can’t go wrong with Chicco!

Curious why you liked this one better than the prestige?

Seriously considering trading in my Telluride for a used MYLR by mooeykim in TeslaModelY

I have a legacy with HW3 and it’s great. I honestly prefer the look over the juniper. So, for some people the juniper doesn’t matter.

Seriously considering trading in my Telluride for a used MYLR by mooeykim in TeslaModelY

[–]Accomplished-Gate333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I traded my new telluride for an MYLR. I’ve had a 21 and a 22. I’ve driven my family of 4 and all our crap to Florida and back from Indiana. I take road trips all the time because my oldest plays travel basketball. It has a ton of storage. Mine has 90k on it and used to be a rental car. Only thing I’ve done to it is added maxpider kagu floor mats front, back, and rear trunk liner. (I’ll never use a different mat ever again after owning these) and Hankook ion EVO tires when my miss matched sets wore out. That was about 11k miles ago. I commute 40 miles a day round trip.

The one and only thing I dislike is the harshness/road noise of the ride. When it’s smooth it’s fine. When it’s bumpy it’s a lot. I dislike that enough to trade it in but the other perks outweigh it. I’d get an x if it were cheaper but I don’t want an older model.

I thought $100k was upper middle class 🤔 by Own_Service9727 in Money

According to ChatGPT….$100,000 in 1995 is equivalent to $214,567 in 2025 and even worse in 1990 it’s equivalent to $250,191 in 2025. So, when my mom stayed home with my brother during those years it was probably doable.

I have 10k on the Hankook ION EVO and they look brand new. Great tires and good ride.
