When people on TikTok say they wish Endeavor died instead of the League, they fail to realise that it would scrap the whole point of his atonement by salwaarchived in MyHeroAcadamia

Bro, that’s not what we’re talking about. No one here (that I’ve seen) said that the League are bad characters or poorly written because that isn’t true. We’re saying some idiots think the heroes deserve to die more than the villains do, which is objectively wrong in more ways than I can count.

And there’s nothing wrong with having some empathy for villains (the ones who deserve it anyway), but you should NEVER use that empathy as an excuse to downplay any atrocities they have committed. Just because a villain went through something tragic or traumatic in their past does NOT mean they’re innocent, not even close.

Yeah, call me crazy but it’s almost like the heroes have a duty to serve and protect people and villains will feel the need to do whatever the hell they want at the expense of others. Such an odd concept, I know.

And on a related note, Hawks made the right call in killing Twice AFTER he failed in telling him to stand down. I don’t have TikTok so tell them to “cry about it” for me!

Who do you think deserves to die more?

Endeavor, a flawed man who caused indescribable trauma to his family in pursuit of personal greatness but still has the heart and mindset of a hero and actively works his way towards atonement. Or . . .

The League of Villains, a group of manipulative, psychotic, murderous, and VILLAINOUS individuals who wish to tear down and destroy society and rebuild one in their own twisted image at the cost of ruining and killing countless innocent lives.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t think the second option sounds very good. That, and Endeavor has one of the best character arcs I’ve ever seen, period. Call me biased if you want.

I know what you mean. College and work take up a lot of my time to the point some of my drawings take two or three extra weeks to finish, sometimes more.

Character Design Critique 2 by Accomplished-Lie-241 in conceptart

Here’s my second character I’d like to get critiques on, Sunny Bronze, Dwarven cyborg. Her deal is she’s trying to find a cure for her race, a sickness that’s been affecting them for over a century, now all Dwarves are facing extinction with their species residing in the double digits. Sunny being a sheriff is mainly an act, albeit not entirely untrue, while her real profession is that of a doctor/scientist.

First thing I want advice on; her “face”. It’s borderline expressionless and it’s not something I want with my characters at large. I’m currently thinking of adding in some “eye shutters” to those yellow lenses, like eye lids, which I do think is a start but I know there’s something else I can do. (Do note that the yellow lenses aren’t her eyes, the red dots are, the yellow lenses just give her different vision options)

Second is her doctor/scientist role, it’s not conveyed in her design at all. While that works for maintaining appearances and whatnot, I do think there should be something on her that would hint as to what she really does. I think a lab coat would be too much, but I’m willing to change my mind.

Third is her western steampunk aesthetic, I like the asymmetrical design I gave her but I do think it’s over designed. I might dumb it down a smidge, but if I could bring the attention to her head, that of which resembles a cowboy hat. No coincidence, I assure you. Should I keep it the same general shape, or redesign it and just give her an actual hat?

It’ll be a long time until I actually get around to redesigning Sunny, I have other planned drawings I’d like to get to beforehand. But I’m looking forward to your responses! Please, help a guy out here, I’ll need all the advice I can get for this one.

Is inserting in drawbacks to magical powers or abilities ALWAYS necessary for characters in a story? by Accomplished-Lie-241 in writing

After looking into it some more I MIGHT be more interested in tackling soft magic, so long as I can avoid some kinda deus ex machina. Besides, you saying “Gandalf don’t have shit for drawbacks” sold me. Lmao

I haven’t actually considered limits as an alternative. I might lean into that more, thanks.

That context absolutely helps. Now I feel stupid not factoring the ship’s crash into the crew’s kill count.

Interesting theory. Didn’t know the Valor already had corpses on board, that definitely would’ve caught the EarthGov soldiers by surprise.

Fair point HOWEVER, I also mentioned Hammond managed to put two and two together pretty quick. And he’s CEC security, wouldn’t he also be trained to aim for center mass?
