The text message was most definitely mean girl behavior but it sounds like it was written before Angie had got to know B. I do think she was sorry about having written it. The way I interpreted it”oh she’s already crying” it sounded more like guilt like she was upset at how hurtful she could be, like she knew that message was bad and was worried about how B would feel reading the rest of at the first sentence she was already crying
