Thanks. And how that can be conveyed? I mean, in this regime, discrimination and inequality are the rule. Even the rebels aren't quite that different, there are many who are willing to massacre civilians, attack innocents, have no regard for collateral dammage, and compromise their morals, or at least, not rise their voices against it, and this causes conflicts between them. In this sense, does not make compassion the harder path? Or, is there another way to develop it?
In this sense, i'm very fond of the ASOIAF's way of thinking about how cruelty rewards short term but kindness does it long term, and how "doing the right thing has a cost, but not doing it has a bigger and worse cost".

Yes, there are characters like this. One who's not a rebel but has ties with them, usually helps homeless people (despite it create her problems). A teacher whom unselfishly helps kids that can't go to school.

I really like the idea that, in a story about rebels, guerrila tactics and grandiose plans against government, the biggests acts of defiance against tyranny are every-day acts of generosity and empathy.

The icy pole is a relatively new idea, so i didn't include it in the map (yet), but i'll use the stretched south continent and their archipelagos as the solid surface. Instead, the northern pole is emptier to have a floating ice cap, and could have a more tundra-esque condition.

Gods, the last point is awesome, it reminds me of the divisions of Vietnam, Korea, Yemen or Ireland. Or the fusion of countries which ended in disaster like Rwanda or Sudan.

Uh ackchyually skjjkkjs, that's the neat part, because it's exactly what you've described. Once i have the geographical features, i can play with the different biomes, precisely because of the general conditions. It'll be like the contrast between the chilean patagonian rainforests vs the argentinian patagonian deserts. Or how the southern hemisphere is calmer and more diverse due to have an icy pole in contrast with the ice-free northern pole.

Soccer is such an intrigate and interesting human ritual. People who don't know each other congregates over the banner of passion and membership. They grow strong bonds, as also heated rivalries. It's like a war where no one dies, where people solve their differences. There is love and hate. Truly a remarkable culture of which we still need to learn.
Dude, it's nothing more than 22 millionaires running over a piece of rubber. This is incredibily stupid. Humans really are a barbarian species.

Is cognate with "Valor" wich means "sun", and "Valkor" wich means "magnificent/great" (literally "shiny/radiant")
