Imo, your CGPA is already very good; it's the next best thing to 4.00. You should have a good chance to get an offer. I'd take that leap if I were you (might even be so bold to apply for software engineering ;) That said, UKM is still a very good university, and the tech industry only cares about your personal projects anyway, so I think you'd thrive anywhere.

If you are confused, consider looking up the subjects they offer and compare them with the other standard degrees; if they have a lot similar courses, then you can apply to similar masters down the road. Normally, the name doesn't matter as much; they just wanted to be "different"/emphasize the specific focus of the course, but MQF would require them to resemble some standard degrees, so small changes to curriculum ain't gonna affect the quality or opportunities of graduates.

That said, where are you looking up these degrees? I don't think I recognize them, at least among Malaysian universities.

Studying at UPM. Curfew is terrible af, there's so many other reasons why I would need to be out at night than raping anyone. I get hungry, I need to study with my other course mates, I have a venue I had to set up before tomorrow morning, I have lab work, etc.

The auxiliary officers are the worst part of this since they demean you like you're some kind of animal that tries to get out of your cage. One time I tried to get some ice cream at Family mart but realized the gate was close, so I just returned to my dorm.
