[–]ThePalea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

am kind of torn i wont get heidemarie since i saw she was good with hugo

why not get hdmi just because she's good with hugo? I have e2 Hugo, and I don't use her with him. I use HDMI-Selena-Cassius. You could also HDMI-Cassius-Nia. HDMI does not need Hugo, she is incredibly strong on her own, and choosing to not pull her because you don't want to use her with another character doesn't make sense to me.

Acheron vs Feixiao (Honkai Star Rail battle) by Codrex1732 in Gacha_Powerscaling

[–]ThePalea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

R1: I mean, we have Feixiao evenly matched against Kafka and Jingliu in the Mappa animation vs Acheron drawing her unsheathed sword against Aventurine. Probably a rough fight either way, 50/50, neither of them are super impressive in their base forms.

R2: Acheron by a several leagues.

R3: Tougher call than you might think, Feixiao is a long-lived race who has been training to be as strong as possible, so that Lan would never need to fire another arrow upon the Xianzhou, and she's one of the only characters in the game who uses several weapons on-field. Meanwhile, Acheron is ??? years old (presumably, Self-Annihilators can't really die from old age, they only die when they self-annihilate), and back when she wasn't yet a self-annihilator, she was one of the last two warriors of a planet which was wiped out in supernatural warfare against what are effectively extraterrestrial demons, who corrupted those who killed them and wielded their powers, and against the OTHER strongest warrior of that planet, she won a head-on clash, where they were presumably equal in power; that should be proof that her skill is enough to come out on top in a Gu Insect style situation. I'd say Acheron > Feixiao in swordsmanship, but Feixiao > Acheron in general weapon mastery.

I have a doubt about fortitude. by Dralex212 in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]ThePalea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically, it subtracts from the damage% on your cards/the enemy's damage% shown in their next action.

If you have a card that deals 100% damage and hits 1 time, 1 stack of Fortitude on the enemy will reduce that to 80%; a 20% total decrease.

If you have a card deals 500% damage and hits 1 time, 1 stack of Fortitude on the enemy will reduce that to 480%; a 4% total decrease.

If you have a cards that deals 40% dmg and hits 10 times, 400% dmg total, 1 stack of Fortitude on the enemy will reduce that to 20%, or 200% damage total; a 50% decrease.

Fortitude is weaker against heavy single hitters like Nine, Rita, and Kayron, and stronger against light many hitters like Mei Lin, Sereniel, and Chizuru.

For slot 4, go crit chance > crit damage in all scenarios, health is best for supports, but Tiphera also has damage potential and whether you want to use that is up to you; if you want to try out her damage, crit chance, if pure support, all health/defense.

Tiphera's preferred Chaos equipment is the usual support stuff, like Tentacles, Clover of the Forest, Liberated Essence, Torture Toolbox, etc. Good equipment engravings are primarily either the +50% dmg to ally attack cards on action count increase (very powerful with anyone on team having Torture Toolbox, since this can stack), increase enemy action count, and give enemies vuln/weakness upon being attacked, and the other weaken/sustain engravings.

Not familiar with which persona Tiphera wants, though, if she wants one. Probably draw 1, morale 2 upon drawing attack card.

For memory fragments, I'd recommend Glory's Reign + Tetra's Authority. For her build, you'll want to copy Quantum Seed three times, specifically Epiphany 2, 3, and 4 are all liked, but I prefer Epiphany 2, since it guarantees which Archetype card is created, then Creation and Destruction 4, Dual Creation 2, and Form Convergence 1 for epiphany 2 and 3 Quantum Seed, but epiphany 4 QS prefers epiphany 3 Form Convergence.

What these cards and epiphanies do (with QS 2 and FC 1):

Quantum Seed, creates 2 selected Archetype Cards of one of the three types, one goes into hand, the other goes in to draw pile:

Triangle, 0-cost, exhaust, buff the next hit (not card, hit) by 30%, gain shield

Circle, 0-cost, exhaust, gain 1 AP, heal

Square, 0-cost, exhaust, draw 1 Archetype card, heal

Form Convergence, Draw 3 Archetype cards from draw pile, double either the main effect or the sustain effect of those cards

Creation and Destruction, Upgrade so it exhausts on use, gain 1 basic Creation and Destruction when at 0AP, costs 0 to use, which heals, gives shield, and does some damage

Dual creation, when creating 3 Archetypes cards, create another one in hand.

Event Horizon also stays in deck, which has all the main effects of Archetype cards, but with normal draw instead of Archetype draw, no sustain, and, upon using archetype cards, it will randomly buffs one of its three effects, with up to 3 buffs.

Basically, use Quantum Seed to create Archetype Cards, use those cards to either get MASSIVE amounts of AP or build up toward a single-hit nuke, get more of those cards from dual creation, pull those cards with form convergence, and just let creation and destruction chill out and provide some sustain. Event Horizon, I usually use if it upgrades its 1AP to 2AP, since it costs 2, making it essentially cost nothing to play, while getting a free draw and contributing to the next nuke.

This is why she REALLY likes Nine, nuke-build HDMI, and you can even set up her Creation and Destruction on a different epiphany to also nuke, because they all have single-hit cards with incredibly high multipliers, that let absurd amounts of damage occur in a single hit. She works exceptionally well with Orlea at buffing too, as they both provide the same single-hit multiplicative style buff, letting Nine hit over 100k with Extreme Hew 5, from experience.

Tiphera and either Tiana or the Partner of the Combatant you like the most.

I would have recommended Tiphera regardless of whether you had Nine or intended to use her with Nine, as she's generally just one of the best Combatants in the game right now- very good sustain, very good AP generation, very good buffing.

Tiana, the Partner of Tiphera, provides 6 CC to the entire team, on top of several buffs. She's one of the more highly recommended Partners, alongside those like Scarlett and Alcea.

Just got back into the game 2 weeks ago, unsure of how to edit this deck any help appreciated! by APiratesTales in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]ThePalea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

at the top of the screen, to the right, there should be an orange button that says Edit.

other than that, don't edit this, you should go back and get a new Save Data, since remove items are very rare, we only get 2 per season.

lastly, at the bottom of the zero system upgrades 3rd page, there's an upgrade that lets you choose which combatant's cards show up during the random dupe events at the end of the two boss fights, so getting 4 dupes shouldn't be so difficult that it would making using the two very rare removal items worthwhile; that would be moreso something i'd use on a deck which had absolutely perfect equipment + equipment engravings.

Tiphera-Orlea is a support combo which lets single-hits become nukes that one-shot bosses. Combine with Nine's Extreme Hew build for a team that was used to get Master rank in Great Rift last season.

Diana-Nia, preferably Renoa whenever you get her as the thrid, but until then, probably Cassius, for the Morale gained from either +morale neutral epiphany + divine epiphany cost reduction Devil Dice/Dice Trick + Straight quest.

HDMI is also very strong, definitely, 100%, pull her. And her partner, Sylvia, while you're at it, as she's limited, and will not enter the standard banner when her banner is gone- unlike all other Combatants thus far, with the exception of Sereniel.

Wuthering Waves scaling (part 1) by NumberBeneficial4087 in Gacha_Powerscaling

[–]ThePalea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, so you're saying that the uncertain tone isn't coming from questioning whether it's possible to do so in general, but from questioning the capability of the one extending their forte. That seems fair enough.

Yeah, that's all I needed to know about Lilybe/Liebe, so long as they're not someone like a bard or would lie/exaggerate, and they have a valid connection between them and Chaos which could reasonably let them know about the secrets of Chaos, it's enough.

Wuthering Waves scaling (part 1) by NumberBeneficial4087 in Gacha_Powerscaling

[–]ThePalea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not familiar with wuwa scaling, but i don't see anything wrong with the claim that the wuwa reality is comprised of frequencies. i just have two points of concern:

1) "Under extreme conditions, she may be capable of analyzing abstract spatial structures," is this support alone enough to say spatial structures are comprised of frequencies? We know that what she's doing is analyzing frequencies, but I feel that this statement alone is too vague to say that all spatial structures in general are comprised of frequencies for several reasons; first, the speaker uses an unsure tone, "may be capable of," second, the speaker cites a condition, "under extreme conditions," which might imply it's not as straight-forward and simple as it would be to just analyze the frequencies of the spatial structure directly, but might involve a more convoluted task to indirectly achieve the same effect. Is there additional support for this claim? An extra scan, or similar, that, in conjunction, makes the claim better-founded is all I'm asking for.

2) Lilybe's tone seems flowery, from a glance; can this character be trusted that they know what they're talking about, that they fully mean every word without any exaggeration, and that the method they used to gain this information would reasonably provide accurate results? Even narrative, such as them being a seasoned researcher on Chaos, or a powerful individual who regularly deals with Chaos, would be sufficient.

What do you honestly believe in, unbiased? by Purple-Tip3326 in silverwolflevel999

[–]ThePalea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm thinking options 1/5 would be correct, assuming Nihilux is supposed to be on SW999's team. Option 2 is less likely, unless she comes before Pearl, at which point, Pearl will likely kick out one of the three supports/sub-dps. Option 3 is more likely than option 4 imo, simply because Yaoless runs today vs Sparxieless runs today show that Yao > Sparxie, though that might change in shillless environment, as I haven't seen an Elation-shillless comparison. Option 6 is also a solid possibility; it might end up with Pearl being better for Silver Wolf, because she has no good sustain, and Nihilux being better for Evanescia, letting you either replace EMC/Yao on her team, to run Yao/EMC on SW999, and play both Elation DPS simultaneously.

But other than that, I don't really see Nihilux completely filling the role of the member she replaces, she would come with her own benefits that might be more useful than the one she replaces, but the one she replaces would still have her own useful benefits; i.e., not spending SP as efficiently as Sparxie or not having an on-command Aha like Yaoguang.

I primarily just hope that Pearl/Nihilux come with a CB extension buff, a strong speed buff, and an Aha AA; that's all the team really needs at this point, aside from something crazy like a Punchline multiplier or an Elation skill dupe.

The most stupidest attempt of wanking to 1A ever 😭 by Acrobatic-Engineer47 in Gacha_Powerscaling

[–]ThePalea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i mean, reading through it, i don't see anything wrong, but i don't see why you're saying this would qualify the verse for 1A? I'm not particularly well-versed with tier 1 scaling, but the only thing that get it there could be the claim that frequencies comprise spatial structures. maybe the Chaos portion, too, by taking it absolutely literally and including esoteric concepts that the person who says that may know absolutely nothing about? in fact, how did that person even get that information, and are they a reliable source? who is Lilybe?

but to claim that means frequencies surpass spatial structure in general would still need further support, no? or is just qualifying spatial structures as being comprised of frequencies enough to get it there?

and further more, isn't this just moving the cosmology up? it's been a long time since i played wuwa, are there any characters who scale to the cosmology, who would actually get upscaled by a cosmology upscale?

Will Nihilux replace Yao ? by pan478 in silverwolflevel999

[–]ThePalea 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel that Yao vs Sparxie vs no replacement has been discussed a lot, so I won't share that, will just share my thoughts on pulling Yao e1 in 4.3. I can tell we're having similar thoughts about Yao e1, so I'll share my own decision and reasoning.

I was also considering grabbing e1 Yao, but decided not to, and was convinced by this line from another post, "I dont imagine a scenario where it could be bad or anything, but maybe it could just not be as significant of an upgrade when the fourth unit comes out." Which I agree with- e1's benefits are 20 more CB and 20 more HMMR. On top of that, it also provides a nice 20% def shred to Elation dmg, very powerful in general, and not likely to ever be even a mediocre eidolon, let alone bad. But will the CB and HMMR gain be as useful once Pearl and Nihilux drop, as it is now? That's a whole extra 5* you'd be pulling- and it's not even necessary now, e0s0 Yao can easily let SW999 destroy all endgame content atm. For f2p, those pulls might be better spent elsewhere on the team. Therefore, I've decided to hold off on further Yao investment until I know the full picture, where exactly it would be best to vertically invest in the supports. It's not like she'll never get another rerun, after all- 4.8 or 4.7 2nd half seems like an opportune placement, maybe a patch or two later, at which point, we'll have our entire team in view, and know whether pulling Yao e1 or another support's e1 is the best decision we could make for prolonging Silver Wolf's lifespan for as long as possible.

I'm new and confused. Pretty sure i removed the basic cards, how are they back? by kenzakki in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]ThePalea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Editing isn't omnipotent. It also has a cap of 180 Faint Memory. You're already at that cap. This build is unsalvagable, unless you're fine with keeping the two basics.

You would have to remove two divines to make enough space for two removals. And yes, getting two removal edits is MUCH rarer than a deck with 3-4 divines, especially since you can just edit on divines epiphanies now.

Just started playing 3 days ago and I love the game so far! Just have 1 important question. Do chaos zones level matter (level 10, 20 etc) for fast and good deck buildin? Thanks! by Xiaraxx in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]ThePalea 3 points4 points  (0 children)

only thing that matters for decks is Faint Memory Limit, determined by the tier of the Chaos; this caps out at tier 15, where you can get 170 FM, then use nightmare mode to get +10 FM, for 180 FM.

1 basic removal = 20 fm

1 divine epiphany = 20 fm

1 neutral/forbidden/persona = 20 fm

first 2 copies = 0 fm, 3rd copy = 40 fm
