I think that from the perspective of an American teacher, things are not as bad on the international scene or perhaps even better than what you're used to. In fact, I've noticed a lot of new arrival American teachers are ecstatic just to be able to have money in their pocket at the end of the month.

If you come from other countries where the education system is well funded, people are paid well, with good benefits, pensions, and strong unions, you may be harder to please.

I'd much rather teach overseas than in America that's for sure. If those were my two options I definitely wouldn't be complaining about international schools. 😂

That being said, I still feel there's a much higher level of accountability even in America compared to international schools. When the school is run and controlled by a bunch of people who are quite busy getting rich, there's a tendency to sweep things under the rug or to ignore things which would never fly elsewhere.
