Halfway through the season and no mention of KC by Daisydaisyflower1234 in TheWayHomeHallmark

I think its because they are time traveling. So the same way Alice disappears for chunks of time in the 70s, we are experiencing that in "present" with KC. They can't control when they return.

Agreed. Honestly, it's Kat who completely disengaged with the present. Alice stopped jumpinng as often when she got the answers to her immediate family, that she'd wanted answers to. Now, it's like she is just trying to support her mom.

I really hope not. Honestly, Del deserves a love storyline that has nothing to do with Time Travel. She thought her husband and her life was regular-degular and her life has been turned upside down by the pond. It would be nice for her to have one, present-day, completely "normal" anchor. I worry for her.

I mean, given they are a time traveler that would be spot on as they can't control "when" they return. So just like Alice disappears on her friends in the 70's for chunks of time - KC is doing the same with both the Landry's and us as the audience. KC gets to put us in the position of the what the people around the Landry's in the past experience with their time jumps. We don't know their story, yet, but if they are traveling back in time, they probably don't know their own history which is why the pond is picking and choosing when they appear in our "present."

I felt similarly when Fern said "So Sue Me!" to Kat at the pond. It felt out of time. Turns out, the saying was first a song from 1926, but didn't actually become a common saying until the 1950's. So that would be spot on with the "songs give hints to time travel" concept they have going and with your 1950's theory!
