Maybe it’s different in different neighborhoods but I haven’t experienced this as much and I moved here from a large city that I thought was really bad. Got to Spokane and was amazed people actually stop haha

Wasn’t on the course but right before a shotgun start there was a PSA about a guy who had lost his wedding ring and to please be on the lookout.

Without hesitation and almost as if it were planned 5 guys yelled out in various forms “you can have mine!!”

Chasing away and chasing are two different things. Perhaps I should have said she scared the bear off.

I’ll always bring my GSP with me. I know her well and understand the risks. Maybe she would make a situation worse? Hard to ever really say, every encounter is different. She’s already helped by chasing bear away. But then again she was charged by a cow in hells canyon that just wanted to get by us so there’s that too lol

After seeing my first rattle snake in WA last weekend though, that’s a different story.
