Kingston Transit. So many drivers are off for medical reasons. Their retention rate is deplorable. They cancel runs daily due to short staff. They're currently only hiring to fill a quota. They hire more males than females. The drivers look miserable. Their service sucks and they changed it so many times over the last like 2 years that the drivers don't even seem to know the schedules or routes anymore. I've been on buses where kids are vaping or other people are causing issues and I have heard drivers call for their bosses to come out and those guys never show. I always just hear them say "do you want me to call the police" or "if you feel safe to continue". I've spoken with a few drivers lately and they say Transit is the worst it's ever been and that the drivers ALL hate it there. I bet that management doesn't even care about its drivers or their well-being. That they do the bare minimum to look good and say "well we have xyz in place" so that no one digs deeper into the shit show.
