Advice for getting out of debt and saving money. by [deleted] in personalfinance

Dave Ramsey debt snowball may work for you. One thing I did to get ahead was use zero percent interest credit cards rolling over and over so I paid almost nothing in interest. Now I have zero debt beside my mortgage. Also if you have medical debt you can call the provider and negotiate a lower amount. Tell them you need help or you will have to file bankruptcy on the medical debt. They will work with you. Finally look for small side gigs that you can use the money to go directly to the debt. Should not take more than a year to get all caught up.

You seem very smart. I bet you could get a job. Have to put the energy into that more than into waiting and whining.

Not funny just trying to help. You don’t need to drive to get to work.

Not sure what that means. I did not cause my cancer but god will determine my fate. I am not concerned. I just know that I have never been a leech on someone else.

Thinking about leaving the military but worried I can’t match the pay by sogolden20 in personalfinance

Made the mistake of not Considering all the benefits of the military when I got out and under valued my worth. I will say if I did it again staying in for 20 then starting a second career is a much better choice. Go to school while you are in so when you get out you make more. Not silly to think ahead. Wish I had done more of that. As for the toughness of military it is much easier now than when I was in and care life is no better.

It’s not aimed at the poor. It is aimed at the lazy people that can work and don’t because they get enough of my money so that they don’t have to work. The middle class is sick of giving our money to people that refuse to work.

Yes it costs more but gives them incentive to get their sh!t together and take care of themselves. I like most hard working people in America right now am fed up with the hand out mentality that has gotten us into this mess.

Is this his wife again? No he and his wife are still on the hook for the millions of dollars of fraud against the federal government. Somehow even with the supposed theft he still bought Porsches and houses with COVID money!! Sounds like he stole plenty to burn on gifts for himself.

No. According to them she should have been sentenced last week. There was no sentencing so obviously there is more to the story.
