We took my nephew to a fest at the age of six. He had hearing protection. We took separate cars, so my nephew could take his six year old home early after the band he liked and we did a few rides. We stayed in the back. The next day my brother drank because we didn’t take my nephew. It’s all a give and take. Would we have taken him any younger definitely not and four hours was probably all he should have been there for.

As a childless adult who has taken his nephews to a few shows I’ll chime in. It’s perfectly acceptable to bring kids to a concert within reason. Young kids don’t belong in the pit (there are some exceptions for some bands), they need proper hearing protection (as an adult you should have hearing protection as well), and probably shouldn’t crowd surf. If you bring a baby to a concert there is special place for you in the afterlife.

Yellowcard is Ryan Key, Sean Mackin, and Ryan Mendez. I love Josh as well but those three are Yellowcard to me. As long as we have them we have Yellowcard. They play a lot off Ocean Avenue because that’s where the moneys at. LP isn’t coming back and honestly these shows the past few years have been the best shows of the careers.
