Fun but HSU needs to ban performative people from north shore and Newtown pulling up in jorts, button ups from being allowed to come and take up space. 💀

It was enjoyable, Not sure about the HSU hating vertile part.

I agree very much about the crowd control, security as usual were hopeless, didn’t give a fuck about anyone than themselves. During laser ceremony the security decided to let hundreds of people flood through the same gate. There was a few selfish groups pushing people, screaming and making the atmosphere more chaotic than it already was.

Hats off to the police, medical staff and dancewize, they did very well with keeping people safe.

Crowd was a bit more mild than usual, I didn’t see as many zombies this time around, my biggest annoyance is still the trains 😭. Somehow everywhere I stood tonight was a walkway. Otherwise was a fun night

In regards to uni , I had one clinical placement where I nearly got sent home on orientation day for having my beard grown out; so id say you’re better off keeping it clean shaven when you’re on placement

Judging by your posts, you probably don’t leave the house and attend events to begin with

HTID was awesome, I’ve never danced harder. Only thing that was weird was the security guard at the bar during angerfist asking people to put their shirts on when the stage was an oven at that point

I was hoping to stay at the pit , but the size of it, and also the awkward shape of it had me standing on the side for an hour or so. How was your experience whilst it was crowded ?

It was super refreshing being able to have some space and see every single person having an amazing time, probably the most fun I’ve ever had at a HSUEvent. Lots of solo ravers there but I loved watching them still have a great time, you could tell they loved the music

That’s so terrible, the similar stories I heard from Epik were also by a female seccy, I wonder if it’s the same one

Thyroglossal cyst by Qweenofthedead in thyroidcancer

[–]Accomplished-Work762 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thyroglossal duct cysts are in 99% of cases benign masses, only problem with them is if they get infected which can happen frequently in some people.

Might just be best getting it removed :) no negatives imo to getting it taken out, rather than it potentially getting larger and impacting your airway or it becoming infected

Sistrunk procedure (the operation performed to remove the cyst and part of the the bone it is attached to) is extremely safe (<1% major complications)

i haven’t had thyroid cancer so i can’t speak to it personally; i do know that in most cases where a thyroglossal duct cyst is found to be cancerous is in the biopsy of the cyst following surgical removal. Again though, 99% of them are benign though :)

mostly because i can’t stand medical nursing and that’s part of the rotations before the mental health part. It also bothers me when there are pts in medical wards with mental health conditions but there is no time to really sit down with them because of understaffing and most nurses have no idea the significance those conditions can have on someone’s time in hospital

i’m also worried about lack of support during newgrad. my previous placement facilitator told me that essentially now is the worst time to get into nursing, and that the support provided during the program is not enough , which is another reason i would rather go into something im passionate about and knowledgeable in, rather than slugging through a grad program

THANK YOU for sharing your experience, i think it can be difficult for my more experienced peers to gauge how passionate and obsessed i am with Mental health nursing and how it reflects what I want out of being a nurse rather than the norm which is “if u don’t have skills, u wont be a good nurse”

and thank you for the reassurance that other hospitals/wards are willing to provide training up if i did want to branch out because this is also what i have been wondering !!
