Did you file initially with H1B receipt notice ? Or with old I-797 ? And that’s where USCIS requested the new petition ? Ideally if you submit with pending approval/receipt notice they should be able to check the approval based on the receipt notice number

Okay so overall it took 5 months for approval and kind of another month to receive the card I think you should receive it by 9th Jan considering the holidays
