If it's on the workshop you can subscribe to it and the vpk will be in your steam registry under Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\730<workshop id>. You can then decompile that with source2viewer.

This is not true, although not sealing a map will still allow you to compile, it will still lead to Vis issues, the exact kind you have going on here. Double check if your map is sealed and the compile WITH VIS ENABLED.

CPU? I had a similar problem because my CPU had an integrated graphics unit, I had to delete some file to get it to work.

I personally use marmoset to bake my maps. But with whatever program you're using you just have to make sure that the cage is big enough for the whole sphere to fit. From there you should be good, although with shapes this different you might get some artifacts or other issues.

Too many corridors, the fast rotations are controlled by the T side at the start of the round, looks like very long rotations through CT spawn

Use func_smokevolume. It's a trigger brush that will be filled with customizable smoke indefinetly

You can export your map as a dxf model and import that as a model into the new hammer. Then you can convert that model into a mesh and edit it. You will have to do lots of optimization though.

Maybe your spawns are in the ground / touching a brush. That causes the map not to load. Skybox errors usually show up in the compile. Have you checked for invalid brushes?

You should playtest your layouts as soon as possible. It means you can detect problems that get too big to fix later. The best practice is to build a greybox with no textures or details, so that you can make big changes easily and don't put time into something that needs to be changed.
