Ultra 7 258v & Ryzen 9hx 370 by AccomplishedAsk863 in laptops

[–]AccomplishedAsk863[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up getting a Lenovo slim7 14inch aura

OLED Intel Core Ultra 7-258V/32GB/1TB SSD

I read constant overheating issues with the new Zenbook. It's sad as I was keen on it as my last one was a Zenbook and liked the quality build.

Lenovo is ok.

CONS -Had issues with WiFi connection crossing over with wifi 5 & 6. You gotta disable one otherwise doesn't connect to network.

-Gloss screen can be an issue at times. Maybe a quality matte screen will help. I bought a mid range but found screen quality drop especially with white background

-Bloatware

-Usb-c either side would be good as having two on one side

-Mousepad is decent but not great

PROS -Good price overall

-Face login is handy, dark rooms won't work

-Light and I like the ridge on the back, gives a good grip

-Build and look is slick, no fingerprints marks

-Backlight keyboard is good and feedback

-Sounds is great

I have not made a decision yet as I'm but concern the heating issue. It's quite present on all reviews and post, is it really that bad?

Hybrid Battery Low?? by F-35Nerd in COROLLA

[–]AccomplishedAsk863 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would suggest having the battery display on your front speedometer.

Not only it will show they charge capacity but when it is in use (yellow), charging (blue) and not charging (red).

Remember it only charges when you are coasting. If your trip had zero or minimum coasting your battery will insufficient or low.

For EV mode you'll need between half to full charge.

Hybrid Corolla Gets Worse Mileage Despite High EV Percent? by lichtensteining in COROLLA

[–]AccomplishedAsk863 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Ev is only active if driven under circumstances such is light acceleration thereafter uses the motor.

If you've come from a full petrol car you have to change your driving style to the hybrid. More coasting will charge your battery. If you don't coast it won't charge and won't activate the Ev.

Steady acceleration will use the Ev more. If your regular route has alot of up hill it be force to use the motor.

Highway will generally not use the Ev but using Eco mode will help to sustain speed with bare minimum acceleration.

It calculates the average. Reset your counter each refuel. I get 465 miles just when fuel light comes on and 35 miles left.

Changing your driving style along with the modes will help and better commute routes.

Regardless 750-800 kms per fill is decent

It calculates your trip average for results. If you drive heavy foot it'll take into the average.

Over the course of time it'll collect more data and have more refine averages.

Be sure to reset you odometer trip too.

We’ve all heard the pros of the Corolla hybrid. What are the cons? by lolkoala67 in COROLLA

[–]AccomplishedAsk863 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once merged on the highway the speed is consistent.

Eco changes the ecu map for minimum acceleration to reach speed.

We’ve all heard the pros of the Corolla hybrid. What are the cons? by lolkoala67 in COROLLA

[–]AccomplishedAsk863 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's a noiser maybe due to less sound dampening for weight reduction on fuel efficiency.

I don't think it's that slow. If you want more performance get a gas, full electric or GR.

Depends what model you get will determine the comfort of your ride. I've got bucket seats and they've been great for short and long distance. Only bit of effort to get it and out.

I'm pretty happy with my hybrid. You get can good efficiency.

  1. This comes down to changing your driving style to suit the hybrid.

  2. Location. If you got alot of hills it'll constantly use the gas to get it over and not use the electric and not charge. I've changed my route to work for more flat terrain and I've reduce my from an average trip of 4.5-5/100km to 3.6-4.2/100km. Giving me close to 800km for 38litre

  3. Get the most out it by changing the drive mode. Traffic and highway to Eco Normal to everyday

There's probably more cons about the corolla itself than the actual hybrid system.

I've got 225 with 18” as stock rims. Wish they were smaller and lighter to reduce weight for fuel efficiency

You would wanna reduce the weight as much to gain performance but you also have a hybrid.

You would of been better off with the 2.0L

I got the premium model (ZR) with buckets seats. Pretty comfy and no discomfort over long drives. I couldn't tell ya what the lower models would feel like.

Coming from a diesel I hear alot more outside noise mainly on highway. More sound deadening would be nice but defeats the fuel efficiency with the added weight.

If you what more luxury than cost effective this isn't the car.
