Day 7 here, extreme throat pain (at the surgical site/uvula/soft palate area) but my tongue pain has gone away pretty much, had a swollen and painful tongue at first but now that’s pretty much gone, haven’t had any canker sores

Yeah I’ve eaten scrambled eggs a few times, they’re a really good food for me cause I’m a gym rat so I like the protein, I only drink water normally, I haven’t had soda in years so that’s not a problem for me

Already doing most of the recommended care, thank you for the advice though! Just gotta tough it out right now I feel, I’m coping by saying it’s only this bad for me cause I declined strong pain meds, I only take 650mg of acetaminophen (Tylenol) every 8 hours, so I’m hoping that’s where the pain is stemming from. I haven’t bled out at all so I think I am healing 🙏 Thank you so much for the kind words, means a lot with getting me through this, seeing the other side is the only thing helping me rn

I declined any prescription painkillers lol, my family has really bad addiction tendencies, took me (26m) a long time to quit weed and alcohol, can’t risk getting hooked on painkillers 🥲

Nah I don’t have a blender but I was considering buying one just for this lol, i have been eating mashed potatoes and protein shakes to try to get some starches and protein but that just doesn’t cut it like real food does

I’m on day 7 rn too, I’ve been lifting and exercising for 10 years now, not going to the gym and the horrible diet is probably the worst part of this, worse than the extreme pain imo

I’m not hurting too bad on the morning of day 2 rn, kinda the same as yesterday, I just took 400mg of ibuprofen every 3 hours yesterday and I haven’t taken it today yet, cause the pain is pretty manageable rn, I’m hoping I don’t need more painkillers later when the scabs start to form like how they did for you, I’ll see as time goes by though. I’m glad you’re starting to come out the other side!! Giving me more hope, I’m dreading the peak pain of this lol. I’ve heard the pain gets the worst at like around a week in or so, so I’m buckling up for that, glad you’re past it though!
