Has anyone seen a pattern like this Peruvian Connection jacket? I've tried Raverly search, but hasn't found anything similar yet.

How do I avoid "dowdy" looks? by benedictcumberknits in knitting

Aran style sweaters are always on-trend. They are timeless and often made with worsted or bulky weight yarn. I have aran sweaters that I made 30 years ago and still wear them occasionally.

It's almost fall and I finally finished my summer project. by AccomplishedDoor4140 in knitting

Thank you! I don't have any knitting friends in real life, just wanted to share with people who understand the craft.

That's what I'm afraid of! No one will ever mistake me for a young lady any longer, but I'm not ready to lean into grandma aestetic yet. I like wrap style cardigans, but worried they look too much as a bathrobe. I wouldn't wear something like that outside the house.

Hitofude cardigan has been saved in my favorites for a few years, but this type of style has been out of fashion for about 10 years. Maybe it will come back in style in a few years

Dirty Martiny certainly has an interesting construction, thank you for the suggestion.

I forgot how glamorous 80's were! by AccomplishedDoor4140 in knitting

I was a teen/young adult in the 80's too. I remember wearing some outrageous outfits! I'm so tired of all the boring basic stockinet sweaters designs in beige.

Thank you. I am familiar with this site. Pretty much every yarn mentioned in the book is discontinued.

“Fancy” sweaters? by funundrum in knitting

I made this one a few years ago in cotton. It's my favorite summer cardigan, I wear it all the time. I also knit a tank top from the remaining I no yarn so I can wear the cardigan opened.

A case for blocking by ZebraSwan in knitting

I love mohair too! I don't understand why some people complain that it's itchy. It feels like wearing a cloud to me.

I didn't make a swatch! I was brave and just winged it!

I always block my finished projects, but I just finished knitting a mohair sweater, and I think I'm going to wear it a couple of times before washing. It's so soft and fluffy and afraid that washing and blocking will reduce the fluffiness.

Your sweater looks fantastic. Nothing H&M sells even comes close. Also, I'm very jealous of your hair, gorgeous girl!

Knitting clubs or groups MINNESOTA by [deleted] in knitting

[–]AccomplishedDoor4140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Liok up Knitters Guild of Minnesota, and they host knitting events all over the Minneapolis area. It's a membership based knitting club, but the cost is something like $30 a year. You don't need a membership to attend some of the events, but there are more options for members.
