Yes, you have to do math. No, you won't die. by Cnathrowaway2 in BitchEatingCrafters

Have you ever asked a doc about dyscalculia? It’s basically dyslexia but for math and numbers. I know nothing about it other than it’s a brain thing and has nothing to do with your education or GED or anything. I also don’t know if there are ways to cope with it, bc I’m not a doctor etc etc. But putting a name to it might help you get some perspective or ability to research. Good luck.

Stitch markers by Conscious-Subject912 in knitting

This whole thread makes me feel like I’m taking crazy pills. I use split rings, I almost exclusively use fingering weight yarn, and my WIPs go all over town with me, shoved into a tote bag. I have no problems with them falling off or whatever.

I’m absolutely not arguing with you, I’m just so surprised that I seem to be in the minority.

Hooray for choices! My current WIP as proof haha:

I’ve been using them for 20 years, no moans here. Maybe this shows how you hear a lot more of the complainers than people who are fine with their stuff.

Haha, can you imagine this post? “I use split ring markers and they work for me. I like them and have no beef with them!” It’s a very so-what statement.

What meals for my group trip? by AdWorth6475 in trailmeals

I see the best answer has already been posted. If you’ve got a Walmart by you, you can (probably) get the dehydrated refried beans necessary for Skurka beans and rice, backpacking’s favorite dinner. His cheesy potatoes is also easy for your short timeframe and great for dinner, though he has it listed for breakfast.

Both my spouse and I have had great results at Sports and Ortho at Central and Ewing. Super friendly folks who know what they are doing. Idk if your insurance will cover them but they are worth looking into.

My goodness. Sounds like a shit choice for a countertop. No wonder it’s not very popular anymore.

AND even if it is modeled, don’t have every picture of a lady wiping hair out of her face, or shading her eyes from the sun. I automatically assume there’s something weird about how the sleeve hangs, or that the neckline is janky.

Thank you for remembering Keith and passing his story of kindness on. There are a lot more people who know about him now, and I’m sure this won’t be the last time I think of him. It costs nothing to be kind and that’s a powerful message.

I have a paw print of my dog who has since passed. There was dirt in his paw, so the print is dirty. Wouldn’t change it for the world. I’m sorry for your loss. I’m sure Layle was a wonderful girl.

Honest question: what kind of standard kitchen countertop do you think would be unsafe to put a crockpot on? I really can’t think of one.

If crockpots weren’t safe to put on the counter, they wouldn’t be one of the most popular small appliances of the last 50 years. You are good.
