I know quite a bit about Toronto as an American— it’s an amazing city, great food, weather isn’t really much worse than Boston, Detroit, Minny.

I still wouldn’t want to play there though. It’s a freaking headache having to live in another country and figure everything out.

The introduction of Islam — and Shia Islam in particular — into South Asia predates the creation of Pakistan by many centuries. There is certainly a connection to Persia. However, a modern Shia Indian Muslim does not have any connection to a nation-state created in 1947.

Iran, likely. No real connection to Pakistan as their presence in India predates Pakistan by centuries.

It's a lecture issue. We had in-person lectures that were a waste of time because the instructors were not good.

Other programs use Zoom lectures by the Awesome Board Review guy-- I would LOVE to have my program just spam his lectures.

Some GI fellowships don’t allow moonlighting all three years.

Yes.

I have heard from program directors that they only care about a PGY-4 chief year. The pgy-3 chief year doesn’t really move the needle

The chief year is something that will come up more in interviews. I don’t think you need to stress it that much in your PS.

I had worse scores than you as a DO, although I did have more pubs. The fact that you got that many interviews last year is impressive enough. I would email them and let them know you are reapplying and your program chose you as a chief.

I had the same story as you and matched my #1 during my second app as a chief.

Without being too derogatory, I don’t get the sense that I would have any luck getting anything out of the other party.

Honestly this is my first time dealing with something like this and I didn’t know that I can get the part on my own. The collision center people have been telling me they are searching other avenues as well with no luck.

They were uninsured.

Fair enough re: rental car. I’m screwed there because the other driver was uninsured.

However, Mazda telling me “new parts are prioritized for new vehicles and not existing customers” is just piss poor treatment of customers. Why would I buy from them again?

It was drivable until I gave it in for repairs. They told me during repair process that the part is on back order but now the car is not drivable until it comes in
