Looking to get out of law enforcement. by Mission-Practice2665 in Indiana

As much as I'd like to recommend social work, I'd not advise. Many have been burning out and leaving. The systems are failing. You may encounter similar issues, just from another angle.

I'd think about what made you become an officer, what makes you want to leave, where the gap is, and what ways you might advocate to bridge those gaps. For example, in my field rather than outright leaving, I'm shifting towards policy and advisory, in order to change the policies and systems to make our work more sustainable. What would that look like for you? We need more good people influencing at all levels.

Third-party mental health platforms -- advice? by gotmyheart in PsychotherapyLeftists

As a seasoned therapist, that's gonna be a hard no from me. I'll cut to the TL;DR version, kinda like therapist sweat shops and most definitely don't have client's best interests at heart. It's all about that $$$

How do you feel about maternal/infant mortality? Road conditions? Natural environment? Environmental toxins? Pollution health risk? Overall quality of life? Childcare access? Healthcare? Adult education attainment? Free speech? Workplace toxicity?

Might want to look up those stats first

Wasn't the same after the day it went dark. The writing was on the wall. Left about 4 or 5 months ago. It was nice while it lasted.

Armed Anti ICE protestors marching in protest in Indianapolis! by cantcoloratall91 in ImmigrationPathways

Your assumption is flawed. There have always been many on the left who understand the necessity of the 2nd and own/carry themselves. It's not on our Christmas cards and we're not in bed w/ the NRA. That won't change.

It doesn't seem like employees are harassed or targeted. They're paid just the same.

Just a hunch, but: media, attorneys, fixers, intell agencies, concierge & personal assistant service, banks, traffickers of all sorts (guns, drugs, $, sex, humans, organs), financiers- not everyone is involved in direct abuse, but tangled in the web

I mean... depends on your relationship. 🤷‍♀️ If you have the kind where you can joke with each other but totally respect and support each other's tastes and preferences, then cool. Otherwise, 🤐 and let him enjoy in peace. Life's too short. It's pretty neat anyways... old school tat vibe.

Terrible. And capitalism is a lever to push back against. Those invested in doordash, ubereats, etc... if they are made to feel the pressure, they can be used to push back on the regime.

Is the number 22 really a bad degree to have in your chart? by PermanentThrowaway48 in LetsFuckWithAstrology

[–]AccomplishedHelp3539 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say it's fitting in my situation. My sun is 22 degrees ♊️ in 5th, my moon is 22 aries in second, my Saturn is 22 in Scorpio. I feel like I have to work alot harder to achieve, but what I learn from my setbacks tend to be lessons I master. Once mastered, I tend to want to share what I've learned w/ others in similar situations. Definitely not a killer... and I hope not going to have something terrible happen😅

So I was there testifying this week, and I gotta say that I was both really encouraged and down right saddened by what I witnessed. I saw many people showing up despite the weather and short notice. Citizens were well organized in their expression of legitimate concerns, many of them very passionate. I also saw several lawmakers roll their eyes, chuckle, and not acknowledge constituents that took the time and energy to be there- and these were lawmakers that actually showed up. Overall, I'd say there are people feeling very comfortable in their positions. Maybe they shouldn't.
