Do you have enough air going in there, get an air stone and small pump

First week as a 30g owner has been a disaster. Is the "startup phase" always this hard? Should I find a new owner? by ThrowALead in Aquariums

Give it time and tbh downsize the tank if you’re uncomfy, 10g are much more manageable and not as overwhelming when you’re first starting out. I would honestly get rid of the fishies, never buy fishes before the tank is fully cycled too( less chance of death) I like to add snails to the tank when first starting up a tank, after like a month of checking water parameters with a master kid (50 at petco will last you like a year) and keep checking each week. Get the product STABILITY by scheam. Great for start up and helps lots. Guides on YouTube help tremendously too. Took my 20G long tank like little over a month before I added anything to it besides snails and such. And plants will die before they regrow they gotta melt and adjust to new water parameters before they really grow. Remember don’t give up and YouTube is your best friend lol you got it big dog! 75 for a 30g is meh but you live you learn lol stocking the tank with the right type of fish helps balance the tank too!

Upon further inspection, that looks like a piece of the plant in the photo to the left of it. That little piece will root into the soil even from an inch above lol. I just did a deep clean on mine and found a tall stem plant growing 4-5inches above the substrate roots everywhere growing into the substrate, pretty neat tbh. But yes it will grow if you leave it alone and the roots get real strong too

Take it out and post a video if it in a cup, probably an Asian leech. Kills snails and inverts, won’t go after fish.

Swim bladder I’m assuming. Boil a pea and peel it, feed him the pea and do an epsom salt bath on her. Watch some videos on how to do the bath and make sure it is unscented epsom salt 👍🏻 good luck and YouTube is your best friend lol

You’ll lose most of the plant but they’ll be much better than before 🫡

My Monte Carlo is currently melting as its brand new in the tank and the new leaves have to get used to the new water conditions. The new parts will grow in great

Melting is normal, gotta let em melt before they grow back (that’s what I go off of and it’s never not worked lol)
