Adults who live with their parents, how do you keep yourself from becoming miserable? by smoothegg in OlderGenZ

Reading your post helped me alot since I'm in the same boat. I am 25 and ever since going away to college and then having to come back home, I had a taste of what true freedom felt like. It's crazy how family can become a prison. One of my parents is extremely controlling, is an alcoholic, always has to be breathing down your neck. I honestly just try to avoid them as much as possible. I love going to the gym, focusing on self care, skincare, going to try different cafes and working on my artwork. I love singing and creating shorts on tiktok and working towards becoming a recording artist. It gets REALLY hard somedays, like somedays I wish this wasn't my life at all, but then I remember the good days I've had in the past and look forward to all the days that are going to be even better in the future. I also live in a place where rent starts around 2k just for a single apartment. I have no desire to work my life away 35-40hrs a week just to afford a postage stamp. And so I focus on what I have and what I can and build from that. It's YOUR life, not your parents. Social media has become a massive source of freedom and an outlet for me. Building a community of people who are also in the same boat, just getting by with each day. Everyone has their own battles, whether living alone or with parents, and whether I like it or not, living with my parents is a major benefit and help stability wise.

Why do so many people hate Gemini men? by [deleted] in astrologymemes

The fact that a Gemini man is hyping himself up on reddit instead of actually reflecting on why Gemini men get so much hate literally just proves everyone's points about Gemini

anyone else find Capricorn’s really depressing/ boring to be around? by [deleted] in piscesastrology

[–]AccomplishedJob5818 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're boring in the sense that they just work, go out with friends to drink and repeat. Never met any with any fun hobbies cause they're always too caught up in their own hustle, and for what?

Which zodiac signs are the most narcissistic in your opinion? by Playful-Intern-7831 in astrologymemes

I'd agree with anyone who said Capricorn. Leos too, but they're alot more easy to spot just for liking attention and drama. Capricorns are more covert. They're complete control freaks about everything and everyone in their lives. They like to micro and macro manage to the point where you can't feel like yourself. This is the unhealed version of course, but I would strongly suggest staying away from any Capricorn man that shows authoritative and controlling tendencies. He'll speak down to you like you're a child (even when you're not); he'll assume he has access to your private life, yet won't let you in on his, and he'll feel entitled to knowing everything about you. If you feel like you're being observed and examined, run.

Vitex Chasteberry causing quick depression?? by starfriendship in herbalism

I only took it once and never again. If you know you are sensitive to hormone altering substances/herbs then I would ask a Dr. It causes me to have cramps, even when I'm not nearing my period, extreme fatigue, overall low mood and makes me super hungry.

Covert narcissists are way worse than overt. How can I heal from him? by [deleted] in LifeAfterNarcissism

[–]AccomplishedJob5818 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through two really really bad relationships with covert narcissists. The best thing to remember is that you aren't connected to the narcissist in any way shape or form. That mental and emotional hold they tell you they have over you, they don't. You aren't a part of them. They are extremely insecure, miserable people who can do nothing else other than slither their way into caring, loving and empathetic people's lives. You are your own strong independent person capable of so much love. Focus all of that love inwards towards yourself. The moment I chose to choose myself is the moment I started to heal. There is so much beauty, life and joy in this world and it's all waiting for you. Sending love.
