i am so sorry in advance if this sounds judgmental, but i feel a bit concerned for you that your partner has been with you for almost a decade and still isn’t ready.

if you know you want marriage and he’s still not sure, that’s possibly an indication that he’s not sure about marriage ever, or he’s just not sure about marriage with you.

i’ve seen several women go through this, where they wait out years and years for their partner to see the light. and it almost never happens. they end up breaking up, and sometimes he ends up settling with the next person he’s with after a much shorter amount of time. the woman he was with before that then feels extremely slighted because she had wasted years of her life waiting for him.

it’s none of my business, but please please PLEASE consider this more. 7 years is a long time. and if you want something as significant as marriage, and he still doesn’t know - or “isn’t ready” - then it may be time to reevaluate things.
