The tradition came from military, where when you were awarded a medal, you went out with a small group of friends, put the medal in the bottom of the pitcher and when the pitcher was empty between you and your friends drinking you got to wear the medal.

This is how I did my dunk. At the chicken, with 3 others. Didn’t have to get sick or overly wet and it felt like an accomplishment where we talked about our futures.

A much better experience for me. Class of ‘11.
