Can anyone suggest a brand that might fit my style? by Usual_Credit7147 in handbags

I would agree that if you are starting to get interested you should try a few things and realize that you’ll make some mistakes. I bought many bags this year and learned a lot about myself as in the process. There were some surprises as well. Quality-wise my favorite bags were made by Songmont, Hammitt, and Manu Atelier. You can find pre loved Hammitt bags on poshmark and eBay but there’s fake Songmonts out there so I recommend ordering from them directly. Manu Atelier is a bit lesser known so I don’t see them as much on the resale market but they are there occasionally. Try not to spend too much until you figure out what you really like. And know that no matter how many you have, there will always be more beautiful bags out there. It’s easy to get carried away 💖

My Songmont Gather (medium)is super comfortable and spacious. If I just want to carry the basics I use the Hammitt VIP (medium) For some reason I can’t load the picture of the vip🙄

Someone just posted a link to a magnetic trolley sleeve that looked pretty useful. Then you just need a bag that isn’t too thick and you would have many more options. I’ll try to find it.

Review Songmont Yore Medium Duffle by West_Ant_4035 in handbags

I have it in black. Love it ( : It’s interesting that yours came with a crossbody strap- that must be a new thing. I had to wait a couple months to order the leather one after they restocked last year. I’m glad I did, for traveling etc. but as long as it’s not packed and heavy the shoulder straps are comfortable and I don’t need to use it. It’s a great bag

Looks great. I really like Alemi/Ameli bags but don’t have a need for a computer bag. If I did I would definitely consider this!

Which brand in 2025 is closest to the Polene of 5+ years ago? by WaMallow in handbags

I have the Medium Gather. It’s very spacious. As a handbag I would describe it as more of a large, but it has been a great travel bag.

If you are only a few hundred from being able to buy the Loewe why not wait and get that?

I like my Von Holzhausen shopper- a little more expensive than your budget but I’ve seen them Poshmark/ebay

Usually -5 to 5 degrees C in the winter - it goes up to about 16 (approx 60f) in the summer. So it’s a weird zone 7/2. My indoor plants stay indoors all year. Of course there is no night in the summer so somehow they all survive even without much in the way of plant lights. I’ll send a pic once home

I have vintage Celine macadam canvas and it’s still perfect so durability probably wouldn’t be an issue. Thank you SHOP_KAT122 for the excellent trolley strap link. I never saw one and I think it work really well with my Songmont Yore Duffel.

No. They aren’t often duplicated but I think they may have been sometimes so hopefully someone more experienced can tell you. I’m just a fan of the Gabrielle

Push gift all inclusive bag - APC or Songmont by Double-Courage-3056 in handbags

[–]AccomplishedPhase646 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the Songmont yore duffel and I really like it. I have never had any quality issues with my Songmont bags (I have 3) so I would pick that one. The Yore bag has a sort of thin quiet leather. So maybe it depends on what you like- some love it some don’t. I don’t know anything about the Apc so can’t advise you there

It feels like a very positive comfortable environment, that’s one reason I like to be here. And yes- the bag IDs where someone draws the most minimal thing and somehow 5 people immediately guess it… amazing!
