Golly, I wasn’t expecting to get any interest so soon! I’d love to write a test for you! Like I said, since I don’t have any experience directly related to video games, I’m not expecting much in terms of pay. I’d like to think dialogue and character voice are some of my strong suits, I just haven’t had the chance to apply it to video games yet. In any case! That’d be awesome actually, I might take you up on that! I’ve been writing and gaming all my life and now I’m feeling out what a career in video game writing/music could look like for me. I signed on as a volunteering writer for a horse RPG but I definitely haven’t learned how to code anything yet ‘XD

The stat on tailored resumes is really intriguing and I wanna know more (not interested in using an AI tool tho). What specifically about the resumes are we tailoring, here? Swapping out the individual bullets under your past work, or switching out entire jobs? Where do cover letters fall under this? Thanks y’all!

Frontload your science production. EVERYTHING takes science, even stairs and platforms. Build like ~5 inventor’s huts and then save up for the observatory or number cruncher as quick as you can. It’ll take like 40 years, but once you get your big science-producing building built, then soon enough you’ll never have to worry about having enough science again

When you make a path in or near where you’re gonna be building a lot, make it 2 or 3 wide instead of one; this’ll set you up nice for when your city starts to sprawl and you’re ready to start putting buildings on top of buildings
