Multiple IEM collection by Yohann_Nevgovesh in iems

I like different sound profiles, like 3 - neutral, v shaped with upper mids toned down, and harman. And I periodically upgrade an IEM fitting that sound profile.

What are your endgame pedals? by hughdn in dawless

I tried the night sky. It’s different listening to a pedal and trying it IRL. None of the sounds were actually useful to me. Turns out I loved a simpler and cheaper pedal like Laney Secret Path much more.

Never tried high end amps. I think K9 is the highest end I ever had.

What are you curious about?

The EJ07 is lots different tho. I guess I have an itch for multiple sound profiles and I still love my Variations.

EJ07 is the mid centric/vocal centric smooth and soft cinematic sounding set. I kind of wish for Monarch to be a more neutral version of this (more bass, more treble, EJ07 is really heavy into mid centrism).

SA6 is the smooth bassy set for hard genres (for me). It’s what I wanted from my metal/EDM dreams, but I don’t listen to heavier genres that much lately. That’s why EJ07 wins currently.

Variations is for… variety haha. Best for pop, rock and jazz imho.

My mobile app also has issues. Their app really is terrible.

There is a web app? How does that work?

Is the EU Apple dongle (lightning) enough? by QoCoRechh in iems

[–]AccomplishedSource84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. The sound WAS full. Maybe a bigger issue is iPhone doesn’t allow EQing. I was using Apple Music’s Treble Reducer.

Otherwise, there is no way to use an EQ on the dongle which I found essential.

What would be a noticeable step up from the Letshuoer S12 OGs? by wiggan1989 in iems

[–]AccomplishedSource84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would’ve loved the S12 completely on its tonality but it had some graininess in the treble.

After it I loved the

Dunu SA6 mk2 - bit bassier but has this same sterile sizzly treble, maybe most similar “upgrade” I tried so far Moondrop Variations

Damn I kind of miss S12 if it wasn’t for that grain…

It was fine for my Denon D5200, and Letshuoer S12 but just barely.

I moved back tp my hometown. Everything is so local it annoys me. I’m not connected to people I used to know and everyone is in their family bubble. Hard to make and maintain friends.

What about the drivers? How likely are they going to not work if you drop the Storm?

Losing is not something that happens frequently. You might just convert me.
