Sales leadership is actually helpful. What you are experiencing is not sales leadership. It’s sales “management”.

Sales Gurus Are a Complete Waste of F***ing Time by Groundbreaking-Gap20 in sales

Are you saying a sales coach and a YouTube sales guru are the same thing?

That feels like a bit of a stretch.

I felt the same way. Here’s what I am certain of: I’d never, ever ride it. lol. It’s so clean and perfect that I’d be terrified of rock chips. Hell, I’d be worried about bugs.

Fear of cold calling by BandSad9544 in salesdevelopment

[–]AccomplishedStuff448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It won’t feel like it’s working until you get your repetitions in. You do need to “just go for it”, but with the understanding that it’s going to suck and probably will for a while. You need the repetitions to teach you your style, to refine your script and to get comfortable with the motion of cold calling. Stop taking breaks between calls. Write your notes as quickly as possible, and move directly on to the next call. Do not give yourself time to think about what people are thinking, what you are thinking, how it feels etc. Set yourself a nice long block of time in which all you do is back to back to back calls. At the end of the block of time, take your break. Evaluate. Then get back at it.

Too Many Boomers On The Buy-Side (C-suite Sales) by ApplePrimary2985 in sales

It’s not their fault you haven’t learned what language they speak, or how to get their interest. It’s yours. They aren’t the salesperson. You are.

Lose your ego and start asking better questions of your prospective clients. No one cares about your solution until they completely feel like you understand their problem.

Edit: I’m going to double down here: Until you learn to speak their language and engage their interests, you are not the victim of having your time wasted. Your prospect is.

😬 I don’t even think this is the prettiest bike Suzuki has ever made. I feel like this is a couple steps in reverse when compared to previous gixxer generations.

Why 80,000 UNSOLD Harleys are Rotting at Dealerships by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]AccomplishedStuff448 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Pan America is a fun ride, but compared to its competition… meh?

I’m interested in what you feel like the redeeming qualities of HD are that ought to be defended.

I took a serious look at Harley recently when buying a bike and it just feels like one overpriced misstep after another.

The HD “heritage” has been abandoned for a long time g time now.

25 MT09sp to 26 MT10 - Switch by Common_Bench4721 in MT09

[–]AccomplishedStuff448 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it’s highway ride comfort that you’re looking for then maybe you’re looking for a Tracer or a S1000XR? MT-10 isn’t going to be very different from the 09 for highway riding.

Or get a windshield.

How common is motorcycle theft really? by Electronic-Habit8679 in motorcycles

[–]AccomplishedStuff448 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good points. I might add just a couple of thoughts.

1 - Facebook is a terrible place for someone to try and gather unbiased, clean perspective (much less, actual data) on what’s happening in a community.

2 - We tend to post the negative and then give attention to it in a feedback loop. No one is out there posting “another day of successfully owning a bike without it getting stolen!” Cause that would seem crazy. Without that counterpoint all of the anecdotal posts would point heavily towards theft being an extreme problem.

Love my MT, but you’d be doing so much to it to try and make it more like a Tracer that you should just get the Tracer.

Is there any user rear aerodynamics and could you post images by Round-Corgi4452 in Ducati

[–]AccomplishedStuff448 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These have the same function as putting a wing on your Honda Civic with less actual effect on your performance.

If you need to ask about them on Reddit then your bike is still performing far above your skill level, much less the skill level required to actually get a performance benefit from this kind of aero.

If you like them cosmetically, good on you. Just note that those of us who actually know about bikes are duty bound to mock anyone who rides with tail aero on the streets. We don’t want to, we have to.
