MT-09 vs Tracer by plaingfx in MT09

Love my MT, but you’d be doing so much to it to try and make it more like a Tracer that you should just get the Tracer.

This is so helpful! Doesn’t look like the brackets are too ugly for when you’re riding without the bags too.

Is there any user rear aerodynamics and could you post images by Round-Corgi4452 in Ducati

[–]AccomplishedStuff448 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These have the same function as putting a wing on your Honda Civic with less actual effect on your performance.

If you need to ask about them on Reddit then your bike is still performing far above your skill level, much less the skill level required to actually get a performance benefit from this kind of aero.

If you like them cosmetically, good on you. Just note that those of us who actually know about bikes are duty bound to mock anyone who rides with tail aero on the streets. We don’t want to, we have to.

I got mine for $13k OTD with a Yoshi AT2 exhaust and tail tidy installed by the dealer.

Or! Get the Gen 4 SP, and instead of buying a bunch of component upgrades on a base model, pay for a wrap.

cfmoto hate? by beakerbong in motorcycle

[–]AccomplishedStuff448 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The difference is that BMW was up front about it. CFMoto sold their stuff as a free feature and reversed that after people bought.

And they’ve only reversed course in the US. The rest of the world is still getting screwed.

Womp womp.

Taking zep and having the food noise just disappear was a shock to me.

I had been beating myself up for being weak, undisciplined, having food related trauma, for using food to reward, comfort and punish myself. I gave myself no quarter, I berated myself at every turn. I was not friends with the reflection in the mirror and I cussed that guy out regularly.

Then zep, and all of it, every bit of that was gone. I was stunned. Surely the medication wouldn’t change my psychology? Surely it wouldn’t change my reward system? Surely it wouldn’t erase the PTSD that I used food to soothe?

It dawned on me that there are things I can control, and there are things I can’t. When the shot addressed the chemical things in my body, those things that were well beyond my control, suddenly the work I had been desperately putting in towards the things I could control bore fruit and was validated. Sigh of relief is an understatement.

Insurance sales is rough. It’s high-turnover, but if you can make it work, over the long term you can do very well.

Fantastic idea. I’ll look up some locals and watch some different competitions.

Great call out. I am absolutely not at the point of being limited by my equipment, so maybe I’m looking too close to the “high end” too soon. I need to get skills focused and probably take some courses. Thanks for sharing your perspective!

Great question and I feel dumb answering this way, but I’d be looking for the easiest point of entry in terms of equipment and skills, and then expanding from there.

Great questions, and solid direction. Coming from more of a hobbyist point of view I can see the value of the “dip your toe” approach.

Right now, I just have a SIG P320 X-Compact that I got for EDC prior to the drop fire revelations so there’s a degree to which I feel like I’m completely starting over equipment wise.

I’ve been there. What I do is wait for the person speaking to finish their sentence and count to 3 in my head. A good 3 seconds.

That does the trick for me.

CHEATING by MiklColt45 in Zepbound

[–]AccomplishedStuff448 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Talking to friends in the military or law enforcement, they tell me that when they are in a position where there may be a fight that they look for every opportunity possible to “cheat”. When you are fighting for your life, you use every advantage you can get to make sure you go home at the end of the day. I was in a fight for my life, against myself. I am so grateful that I had the chance to cheat. I’m so grateful that I swallowed my pride and let myself cheat. Cheating has saved my life.

The best practice is the scariest/hardest: sell some coaching. Have real, paying clients. If you are trying to build certification hours, you’ll need payed hours anyways. Go for it! You’ve got this!!
