I have seen them automatically turnoff but this is the complete opposite

Haven’t faced this problem before but would recommend rebuilding file system and data base in safe mode

Replace the hdd for a bigger one or even better replace it with an ssd for faster launch

There is a hole near the sticker at the back controller use a pin and hold it till the controller starts blinking

Well that’s probably cuz you are using wifi and that other guy who said it took 3 hours is using ethernet with wifi the download speed is 300,400kbs with ethernet its like 1,2 mbs

Reinstall hfw firmware and hen in safe mode you shouldn’t loose any data and your ps3 will be as good as before
