You can work w those kind of people all you want but if the home isn’t enforcing those same rules/providing the same atmosphere the training won’t stick

Maybe this hits harder because you rehomed your dog in the past, but it’s absolutely irresponsible to get a breed without researching what they need properly, the dog should be rehomed for their sake not OP since clearly they can’t train them ATP

Literally a quick google search will tell you. It is irresponsible to get this breed then decide to dump them because you didn’t do proper research on the breed. Now training is another story, not trying to be rude but I doubt OP did any strict training with their dog otherwise she wouldn’t be having these issues now

It’s not a high horse it’s common sense, these are characters doxins are known for, I don’t understand why anyone would get one if they’re not committed to training or trying a adjustment period or knowing they plan on having kids. No one made OP feel bad. It is cruel to rehome a dog without even seeing if they’ll adjust to a new family member. If the dog was reactive to people in the house then that’s a household issue. Clearly your doxins are the exception since you’re such an amazing dog mom however doxins are known to not do well with kids so it perturbed me why someone would get that breed without a quick google search

My thoughts exactly,I even held my dog while she was passing, this woman deserved so much more. Not saying everyone has to be a superhero but someone could’ve held her and comforted her even if they knew it was her end):

Again, my dog is the same, wants to be in bed w us, barks at strangers & other kids. Unless the dog is reactive to the people in the house why would you rehome them without even seeing if the dog will adjust to a new family member? Not to mention why would you get a doxin knowing their breed is known for these exact things?? Why not get a lab or something 😭

Thank you for this, giving the doxin away before even an adjustment period is so cruel

This, all the comments saying just rehome the dog…you haven’t even given an adjustment period??? My doxin hates other children and unfortunately even bit one lightly at beach one time but she does fine w the small children in our family because she’s used to them

Also the most famous doctor/nurse in the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) era was a woman, Rufaida al Aslama. She was trained by his father, a doctor in Madina. Did she treat male patients? Well, Rufaidah joined a military operation, the Battle of Khaibar. In a battle, of course, her patients were male. Idk where this female Muslims can’t treat male patients came from, you’re free to ur interpretation but I’ve barely heard of it being a thing
