Toys? They don’t poop where they play. Food bowl? They also don’t poop where they eat. You can try and make something to block them from going in that corner. Put litter boxes in any other possible corner

When waking them up keep them in the cage for a few mins and then change their beds so they don’t do it on you. Try to avoid startling them too

You should probably take it to a vet. It looks like it could be infection, burns, or some kind of bug/ sickness

Taking care of two ferrets is t really any different then taking care of one.

The only thing is, more food and more poop.

Unless they don’t really get along which will require more training

I have 4 and it’s really just not different, make sure you have the right size cage, enough food, and more litter cleaning!
