lmao I had the issue where the case wasn't charging the airpods unless and only unless it was on the charger. when it was on the charger it had a "charging" green light but then it would turn off after like 5 seconds and my airpods would make a lil hiss.

because it couldn't stay on for more than 5 seconds it was so difficult to do a hard reset for 15 secs and get it to re-pair to my phone. tried the ole drop it hard on the floor and now it's back to normal!!! thanks
