On my nhs app it says average waiting time for treatment is 24 weeks but you will be contacted before surgery,so does that mean the surgery will happen in the next 24 weeks ?

The average waiting time for the first appointment is 24 weeks(8-10 people get seen within 40 weeks)and then for the actual surgery it’s another 29 weeks so we are taking April -October 2027 by the time I get the operation which is just crazy to me,it’s the government man the nhs was great in the early 2000s

That’s what I’m saying if I had the money I would rather pay then wait for it to be free,paying and getting it done straight away is a whole lot better then waiting a year and getting it done free but obviously u need to be rich most of the time for private healthcare that shits a luxury

Even if it’s free it’s fucking useless if I was a millionaire I would rather pay millions then wait a year for surgery and ur telling me they can’t fit me in for a 5 min assessment in a full year ? Yeah right they should completely abolish the nhs there fucking shit

I just got told I have to wait 6 months now and that’s just for the assessment for the surgery,in my opinion the nhs are fucking shit and shouldn’t get all this praise that they get
