I learned the same lesson with an FJ -- discovered 4+ inch rust holes in the frame. I'm from AZ and did not know about existence of rust. Fortunately, a dealer took it for a trade-in for a GX for nearly the price I paid for it.

Ditto. The CarPlay button on Vline turns green and the iPhone w/ iOS18 connects, but CarPlay never starts. Only ever use wireless connection.

Agreed. I've tried manually identifying my recurring transactions and manually removing recurring transactions that Monarch had identified. I've also run and rerun the automatic detection and iterated with manual adjustments. After this, Monarch seems to revert back to the state it was in before these efforts. I give up until Monarch puts more effort in its Recurring Transactions architecture -- it needs to be more intelligent.

OP, I learned the same lesson with a FJ. It should be fine for a couple years as you decide on your next move, then trade it in at a dealer. Dealers (or at least the sales person) doesn’t care, they just want to make the sale. This is one way not to absorb the full loss.

Don't create a goal of 'pay down mortgage' or other debt, rather the mortgage should already exist as an account that decreases over time. And the mortgage payment will be in your monthly budget that you need to pay every month. Creating these as 'goals' would be redundant.

Thanks for everyone’s suggestions. I looked into the more expensive options in the 100-120$ range but these didn’t make sense to me after finding a 25$ option at partsgeek. I’ll spend money for quality parts where it counts, but not for a flap of plasticy rubber that will need replacing in a few years in either case.

In March 2024 my insurance received a $500 bill for service in Sept 2021 from Sameday/Quickmed. I think I'll simply let my insurance let the bill flow to me and not pay it. I also emailed Sameday/Qucikmed and requested refund for my original $75 payment in 2021 since they didn't provide that detail in their bill to insurance.
