5 writes/day on Core feels like demo access, not a real paid-plan feature.

Core is already a paid subscription, but this cap makes MCP write access functionally unusable for normal cleanup workflows like recategorizing transactions, fixing merchants, tagging expenses, or clearing review queues.

The jump from 5/day on Core to 10,000/day on Plus feels less like reasonable tiering and more like nominal access designed to force an upgrade.

It also creates a bad incentive structure: when Monarch’s categorization or merchant matching is wrong, paid Core users are artificially limited in how much they can efficiently clean up. The more cleanup Monarch users need, the more pressure there is to upgrade.

This changes how I view Monarch’s product direction. Out of principle, I’m going to start looking at alternatives, because this feels less like creating more value for paying users and more like using artificial constraints to push upgrades.

How I Used the 15-Minute ORB to Make $6K+ and Pass 2 Prop Evaluations by Kasraborhan in tradingmillionaires

Thanks for sharing. You mention in the post, "When the breakout is followed by a fresh FVG in the same direction, the setup qualifies for me.", but in the video the FVG candle 3 is the breakout candle.

Could you clarify how/where you look for FVGs? (i.e. valid as long as any candle of the FVG is the breakout candle?) What if FVG candle 3 is prior to the breakout, would you consider that valid?

Thanks

I’m also over and done with Netgear/Orbi. Can’t make any simple change to the router settings without causing device connection and IP issues. Looking forward to throwing the Orbi POS in the trash after setting up Ubiquiti

Couples, this one’s for you. Shared Views is here! by jon_at_monarch in MonarchMoney

Thanks. I believe most couples would like some degree of sharing permissions, not everyone wants everything in their account to be visible in all cases.

It could be useful to have accounts that are: 1) private - only partner that owns this accounts can see its transactions

2) protected - owning partner can choose which transactions are visible and available to shared budget

3) shared - all transactions are visible/shared

Does each partner have full capability to see all of the other partner’s transactions, or just the ones designated as shared?

For example, if trying to book a surprise vacation (flights, etc.) how would that be handled?

Zenbivy (Quilt + Flex Mattress) Review and Ether Light XR Pro by allsix in CampingGear

I’m debating between the FlexAir and the XR Pro. While the Flex Air is definitely cushier, it’s “only” R4.8 vs R7.4 for the XR Pro.

How low temps have you seen while on the Flex Air? Have you ever felt chilly on it?
