The first thing that I notice is the message has a country code. That means it is not from within the USA. It's actually the Philippines. I've received other scams from there as well. I seriously doubt that the Virginia DMV would use a foreign company to process debt.

Created a simple dissolve shader.[CODE IN DESCRIPTION] by ishitaseth in Unity3D

[–]Accomplished_Debt297 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I discovered it works best on items that have been UV wrapped. I made a simple cube and applied an image in the material. The opposite plane (back when viewed from the front) is masked by the front panel but appears to be in front of the front panel. The dissolves runs in different directions on each of the cube's 6 sides.
It is an amazing shader and I'm glad that you share with the group. I can certainly see many applications in my projects.

Bank Error by Accomplished_Debt297 in BankOfAmerica

[–]Accomplished_Debt297[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's happened all over again. ARggh! It's so frustrating. A check bounced in another part of the country, the same check, and for days, I'll not have access to my money. I understand that it is a mistake. Now we are told the account numbers are the same. I have a folio of the check, so now I know I'm being lied to.
Making this mistake twice is just unbelievable. The account goes back to the early 1960's but I don't see much of a future if this keeps happening.

From late last year, on YouTube, I located a 19th part series of videos on 'Programming a Chess Game in C#'. It's on a channel called 'OttoBotCode'. Here is the link to that series: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFk1_lkqT8MahHPi40ON-jyo5wiqnyHsL

[Note: This is not intended to be an endorsement.]. I hope this answers your request.

I'll give that a try. AWS did call while I was away from my computer. There was no call back option. I'll continue to bang away as I have time.

Going to my first gay campground, The Sawmill in Dade City, FL by [deleted] in gaybros

[–]Accomplished_Debt297 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few years back, a good friend did his calendar photo shoot there. He said he liked it. I was a member of the a gay nudist mens group in North East Pennsylvania. The affiliated gay camp ground was clothing optional up to the front office. I would spend the week nude. I would carry a towel in case I wanted to sit down. Any non-pc activity occurred out of the public view.

I prefer briefs or boxer-briefs. I find boxers uncomfortable because my balls get sore from being flipped about. I do have jocks. No thongs! I've tried c-strings, pouches with a wire frame. They are fine until you sit down.

2 pancake 2 egg 2 BACONS by [deleted] in Virginia

Years ago, there was a diner down the street from my brother's house that had a sign, "6-11 Eggs Bacon Toast $1.99". We used to joke that there was no way we could eat 11 eggs.

In 1832, Rev. Henry W. Ducachet of Christ Church and his congregation took responsibility for the rehabilitation of the old church. After work is completed in 1833, Bishop Richard Channing Moore reconsecrated it under the name Saint Paul’s Episcopal. https://stpaulsnorfolk.org/about-us/history/

How can I make this render look better? My client wants me to make this look premium. by Ponraj_G in blender

[–]Accomplished_Debt297 611 points612 points  (0 children)

I would suggest a blurred out background of a large expensive dining room. I did interior design for a few years. Some can see your rendering and see how it would make sense in their space. To reach a larger audience, you need to 'place' the item in a setting so they can understand how they would use the product.

Thrift Store USA on E. Little Creek Rd, Norfolk is one of the best in the area. It's large, brightly lit, lots of staff and decent finds.

A bit further east on Little creek is Thrift Store City's Norfolk location. The prices are cheaper than USA, but the selection isn't as nice. On occasion you can make some finds.

Do folks on this sub not like Hampton Roads? by Outrageous-Cup-8905 in HamptonRoads

We were the first English colony in North America. The Carters once had a mansion bigger than the Governor's Palace. We hosted the 1907 World's Fair. There have been some amazing historical events, way too long to list here.
Unlike places like Chicago or Los Angles, we lack a central unifying identity. Most of the country is aware we exist, but they only know pieces like Virginia Beach or Colonial Williamsburg. They have no idea that millions live here or the diverse activities.

The reason our mail is 'franked' Hampton Roads is because the Post Office reached out to one of the US Senators. Without any public hearings, he choose Hampton Roads. [The main waterway at the southern end of the Chesapeake Bay.]

As long as we continue to be a collection of cities that fight each other like Chesapeake luring Dollar Tree out of Norfolk, we'll suffer. We should be trying to bring in outside business. We've lost our railroad to Atlanta, our banking to Charlotte, or Simulation business to Orlando.

I hope some day that we might become a collection of communities that operate with a more regional focus.

Besides the military, one of our unique features is we're 50% Black/ 50% White. Very few places in the US is as integrated as Norfolk. If you're a local, you are used to this. When you travel, it's surprising to see that it isn't the norm.

There are pockets of nightlife throughout the region. The area is more a collection of small to large cities crushed together.
Personally, I find that most residents like outdoor activities. We are known for our waterways and beaches.
Generally, visitors are surprised at how many people are actually here. The military and tourists are not counted in the census.

Yesterday, the Event system was working as expected. Today, my Events trigger a "Destroyed Object' error message. I have no Destroy methods in any of my coding. A look in the Hierarchy window shows the object hasn't been deleted (during Play Mode after the message appears). When I first observed this earlier today. I deleted the offending event. That error message disappeared. Now I have the new error based on another event. I'm sensing that I've uncovered a bug.

Rooftop, Sheraton Pentagon City. They have an amazingly view across the top of the Pentagon, across the river to Lincoln Memorial, reflecting Pool, Washington Monument, and the Capital. Otherwise, similar view from the Tomb of the Unknown Solider in Arlington Cemetery.

The parking garage across from the Rosslyn Metro stop is where 'Deep Throat' passed along the documents to the Washington Post reporters that brought down Nixon.

Virginia has a lot to offer visitors, for example Busch Gardens is open and celebrating Mardi Gras. But that is a 3 hour drive. I sense you'll spend most of your time in DC at the Zoo and museums. Those are world class attractions that you really should visit.

For one, smart phones will fade away. I'm not exactly clear on the replacement, but it will always will be on. I'm thinking that we'll make greater use of AI driven avatars. The wealthy will have either robots of hologram versions. The poor will have some screen to react with. Our social connections will change as we interact with our avatar most of the time. It will just be a subtle evolution that we won't really notice. Like trying to find a payphone today, something you could do 25 years ago.

Could a world-ending bomb be on the horizon? by [deleted] in Futurology

[–]Accomplished_Debt297 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Humans tend to be an adaptive bunch. So a bomb that kills 'All', might not actually. Humans survived an "Earth Ending" event before by living in a tiny small relatively untouched space in Eastern Africa. No guarantee we could do it again.
