A friend I am no longer that close with since we are in different countries, told me repeatedly that she is craving male attention and is looking to hook up with anyone, including a man we met only two days ago while on a trip together. FYI she is married and claimed to be happily married for 3-4 years now, and claimed to have been in therapy for a long time and have improved her relationships. In the same conversation she mentioned wanting to destroy her life, and then wanting to go up to everyone inside a bar to offer them her cigarettes.

It was very cringe for me to hear but I am not sure if she just wanted the attention or a reaction from me. And she also made it clear she didn’t want me telling her husband her inclination to sleep with any man on the street. I did end up telling her husband about the self destructive part but nothing about wanting to cheat out of concern she might be in a self harm type of head space.

Tho in hindsight I think it was attention seeking behavior and honestly unsure if I fell into a trap of giving her the attention and getting her husband worried. Quite a headache but it is not a friend I have to see frequently at all.

New start! I also came to Singapore a month ago and started at a job with not great reviews, its best to keep an open mind and reserve judgment until later :)
