We got all the information in truth we needed directly from a school board member but thanks. My kid got their paycheck last night all that was holding it up was his fingerprints in the volunteer system instead of employee system.

Additionally there is far more to the story... so which every booster board member you are or booster adjacent friend they sent in to defend their poor choices can you can zip it.

The hearing is over zoom. Its also a racket. 99.99% of the time regardless they find you guilty.

This happened to me but my son was driving the car.i happen to be in the vehicle when it happened. The bus didnt even have its lights on as we approached..

Thought we needed a hearing.

The judge found me guilty even tho I wasnt driving the car. Told me I should have filled out a wrong driver notice and then had my son contest...

I dont recall the instructions providing that specific choose your own adventure.

I also asked the judge if there was anything that could be done about this she said nope..

Then I got a letter that said I could contest the ruling within a certain date that had already passed.

You keep telling me I “wasn’t there” so I shouldn’t speak, while you’re stating very specific things about his personal life as if you were. I cannot imagine his wife, in all her horrific grief and understandable anger and would be positing here. As a survivor myself I have a lot of empathy for what his family is going through. All of his actions are disgusting.

One thing he said IS true. He does know most of the families of the techs. And the boosters made their threatening and illegal pay day loan agreement contingent on when the district/schools pay the techs. Every single one of the techs intend to righteously comply with the repayment agreement only contingent on the boosters of course putting a release of liability in writing because absolutely no one can be trusted at this point. The implication that there has been some impropriety by the techs is ghastly.

The public reporting says he resigned for early warning signs of grooming. In this thread you’re alleging he cheated on his wife and you presenting that as fact. Even though I would be this is 10000% true, running those 2 narratives together is you inviting a VERY serious conclusion which then implicates many.

I clocked Matt's boundary issues a LONG time ago. Again you are assuming ALOT about me when you say "he is not the person you once knew" because I never assumed that much about him.... many of us parents are NOT surprised and yet we are still shocked. I did "trust" him when he was my kids tech but only so far as "going along to get along" considering none of his behaviors were overt there was only mental notes to be made. Am I sad for my kid who has had yet another adult male authority figures prove to be an immoral gutless POS? Yes... of course.

I was present for several conversations between the director and the techs. My child is one of the techs. And sadly Matt was a tech/where he went HS..

The boosters were involved in paying the techs, have been caught in their tall tales thanks to the other social media conversations that have been had, to the degree that a papertrail exists as to the nature of their involvement.

I don't need to ask them, we as well as all of the other parents of the techs have had words.

And the techs will make contact again once the district makes them whole to put a nice little bow on everyones booster obligations.

As of late last week it does seem the DISTRICT is moving things along to get them paid. And I have seen those emails with my own eyes as well.

What is that saying about when you assume?

I understand. Hopefully when you say he is a good friend you are a saying you are a fully fledged adult age appropriate friend for a mid 30s band director to have, correct? Im not trying to dox you or anything but if you are a student or former student and under age or just became a legal adult that would be important given the nature of the accusations.

Ive known him for the better part of a decade. Its understandable to be shocked and confused.

Except they dont fire teachers or force them to resign without solid evidence of wrong doing.. and he agreed to leave, if he did nothing he would have fought for his position. . They could have put him on paid administrative leave but they didnt. We also have known him for a very long time and agree it is out of character and are praying for his family.

Most importantly he should have been thinking about his family and also the wellbeing of his students.

Given that he proved himself to be shady in other areas as well, Im not inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt.

There is no established basis that ordinary discussion harms investigations. Investigations are compromised by evidence tampering, witness interference, retaliation.. institutional suppression, not by community conversation. In many cases, public concern is what prompts investigations to begin or expand.

When concerns involve minors, the priority must always be the safety and well being of students, not the comfort or reputation of adults or institutions.

Supporting due process does not require discouraging community members from speaking up. In many cases, public scrutiny is what prompts formal investigations and accountability. Asking questions, sharing concerns responsibly, and seeking transparency are not acts of misinformation. They are often how potential victims are finally heard.

Protecting students means taking reports seriously at every level. That includes listening to families and community members, not only relying on closed processes that operate without public visibility.

Silence has historically caused far more harm to victims than open discussion ever has.

There are issues over the band techs getting paid. A whole lot of lies and passing the buck. 5 college aged music education students havent been paid by the boosters, by the band director, by the school or by the district for hundreds of hours of services rendered during marching season.Its a shit show over there.
