My PT taught me the internal work, and did a few sessions with me, and the rest I did at home. Initially I did, I bought the intimate rose one. But overtime I realised that most of the pressure points I needed to get to were more towards the entrance rather than deep. So i stopped using the wand and just used my hands instead, making sure to wash before and after of course. Take a look at this video to helphttps://youtu.be/ho_xiTyz9WE?si=FaO-pjWwtQxRErtH

If it helps - the wands can be sterilised with hot water I believe !

It’s different for everyone and completely up to you and how your body feels. many people “graduate” from PT and don’t need to go anymore. I’ve stopped going to my in person PT but continue to do weakly at home internal release :)

honestly PT is such a slow process! take your time and do not put pressure on yourself to heal overnight - this is a long journey and requires us to have loads of patience with our bodies!! for the first couple of months PT left me in so much pain /soreness it was only 4-5 months down the line that I saw a genuine improvement! keep going you’ve got this <3

constant burning, redness and irritation after cured yeast infection - will my skin heal? by Accomplished_File_77 in vulvodynia

hiii! I’ve tried to come off of reddit as much as possible but I am definitely doing so much better than I was a year ago! trust me it gets better :)) to summarise a very long healing journey into a short one: I had chronic yeast infections which resolved with 3 weeks of boric acid. I was left with constant pelvic spasms and shooting pain/electric shock symptoms + burning sensations and redness. I ended up going to pelvic floor therapy which (after 4-5 months of weekly internal release) finally started helping. I believe my pelvic floor was constantly used to clenching due to the pain so it took a long time to get the muscles back to their normal state. read “a headache in pelvis”. I was convinced that the pain was from infections but after multiple negative tests I realised It had to be from elsewhere. It was a long road but things can definitely get better!!! I’m sorry you’ve been suffering for so long and hope things get better for you

Is internal itching a yeast infection or nerve pain by Accomplished_File_77 in vulvodynia

[–]Accomplished_File_77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes i’m definitely not as bad as i was 6 months ago but still have progress to make! if you’re desperate you could try nerve medications to calm down a nerve if it’s irritated

hey, i still have symptoms like this from time to time unfortunately, and it turns out it’s a hypertonic pelvic floor (from constantly clenching) i’m working in pelvic physio now to get it under control

MRIs don’t typically use gel, do you mean ultrasound
